Nottingham Forest setter Richie Laryea has joined the Vancouver Whitecaps on loan until the end of the year.
The 28-year-old joined the Reds last year from MLS from Toronto FC before joining the Canadian team on loan until the end of the season. Steve Cooper.
And now he has sealed a return to Canada until the end of December, but this time with the Vancouver Whitecaps. Laryea hopes to gain much-needed playing time after completing the move some time before the MLS move deadline.

“Richie is a winner, a competitor, a leader and has proven to be one of the full-backs of our league,” Whitecaps FC sporting director Axel Schuster told the club’s website.
“Since the end of 2021, he has played all the matches of the national team, adding all 3 matches of the World Cup. We are excited to welcome Richie, Melanie and their son Elijah to our family.
Earlier reports claimed last week that Forest had won an offer from Toronto for the right-back. It has been said that the next step would fall to the Reds, but it appears that the club rejected that offer in favour of his loan to Vancouver.
Make no mistake, Nottingham Forest’s return to the Premier League has been a resounding success.
