MADRID (Reuters) – Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard has shown that he leaves Real Sociedad to return to Real Madrid after an incredibly successful loan season at the Basque club.
Odegaard, who was Real Madrid’s youngest player when he debuted at age 16 in 2015, joined the Company on loan for one season last year with the option of a campaign at the time.
The midfielder said last October that he sought to remain in the Society for two years in search of consistency after 3 loans in 3 years, but La Liga champions have called his team 21-year-old before the new campaign.
“I then sought to send all the enthusiasts a farewell message but above all a message of gratitude for what was an unforgettable year for me,” said Odegaard in a video https://www. realsociedad. eus/es/noticias/detalle / me- have-made-feel-a-canterano-mas published on the official website of the Society.
Odegaard helped the Society reach the four most sensible and, missed the Champions League standings, finished sixth to take a position in the Europa League on the final day of the season.
They also took Real Madrid out of the Copa del Rey on the way to the last opposition to Athletic Bilbao, which was postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I had wonderful moments with this shirt, starting with my performance, my first goal, making the most of the Copa del Rey and qualifying for the Europa League,” Odegaard added.
“It’s time to say goodbye, here’s a real Society fan forever. “
The club paid tribute to Odegaard, who played 36 games in all competitions and scored seven goals.
“It’s make a big impression in such a short time, but Martin did,” a message said on the club’s website.
“He leaves us to return to Real Madrid, but we will never achieve everything he has done for us during this unstable season. “
