FC Barcelona have closed their first signing of the summer transfer window for the senior team, with the arrival of Pau Víctor from Girona.
“FC Barcelona and FC Girona have reached an agreement for the player Pau Víctor to remain linked to the club until June 30, 2029,” reads the club’s press release.
Víctor spent last season on loan at Barça Atlético de Girona and ended up being the top scorer in the third division with 20 goals to his name, almost leading the Catalan reserve team to promotion.
Barcelona had a clause to make his signing permanent for a payment of 3 million euros, let it expire in April and negotiated a new payment for the 22-year-old striker.

Victor, capable of playing in the front row, now joins the Blaugrana on a deal worth around €2. 5m plus additions, according to reports, and also signs a five-year contract until 2029.
Unlike last season, the striker will be part of dynamic new first-team coach Hansi Flick and hopes to serve as a backup to Robert Lewandowski.
