Atalanta have announced the signing of Marco Brescianini from Frosinone, but AC Milan will have to wait to recover their sale clause.
It looked like Brescianini was going to sign for Napoli a few days ago, but the deal fell through after he even underwent a medical with the Partenopei, as there was a delayed attempt to replace the terms of the deal.
Atalanta managed to outbid Napoli, with reports indicating that the Milan academy graduate would sign a four-year contract with an option for a fifth.
The Rossoneri are also expected to benefit from this renewal of the plan, as they have a 50% resale clause and will receive a minimum of €6. 5 million, while Daniele Longo of Calciomercato. com claims that this is a payment of €14 million and that the profit would therefore be of 7 million euros.
However, Atalanta showed in their official that they have indeed signed an initial loan agreement with the 24-year-old that includes a purchase option that becomes a legal responsibility to make it permanent under certain conditions.
That means Milan will not receive cash this summer as part of the deal and will have to wait for the legal liability clause to be triggered if they need to pocket anything.
