La Liga outfit Sevilla have on Monday announced a fresh addition to the club’s attacking ranks.
The player to have put pen to paper on terms with García Pimienta’s side? Akor Adams.
The name of frontman Adams had of course proven a prominent one in the headlines in Andalusia over the course of the last couple of weeks.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the Nigerian had been identified as a leading January transfer target on the part of the Sevilla brass.
Desperate to unload the new blood on the most sensitive with a view of the 2D part of the campaign, the Nernionans, in turn, recently opened discussions on a deal with their opposing numbers in Montpellier.
And, as alluded to above, on Monday, such talks have officially borne fruit.
According to a statement on Seville’s platforms and social media:
“The Sevilla FC and the French Montpellier HSC have reached an agreement for the signing of Akor Jerome Adams for the rojiblanco team. “
Adams has put pen to paper on a contract through the summer of 2029, and will make use of the no.15 jersey recently vacated by Gonzalo Montiel.
Sevilla would have put Sevilla in the region of 5. 5 million euros.
