Ohio State’s HC Ryan Day apologizes for not kneeling on the last opposite of Nebraska

Ohio state head football coach Ryan Day apologized after his team landed on his knees in his last practice in the face of a 52-17 eruption in Nebraska on Saturday.

“I feel bad about it,” Day said after the game, through ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.

“I had a younger quarterback in the game, and I didn’t feel like we had the staff to get down on our knees, and I probably did. So I just need to publicly apologize to them, to [Nebraska Coach] Scott [Gel]. “

Ohio State and Nebraska, No. 5, were tied at 14 in the last quarter, the Buckeyes beat the Cornhuskers 38-3 the rest of the time in a 52-17 home win at Ohio Stadium in Columbus.

OSU’s ultimate landing was the result of a two-yard run through freshman quarterback Jack Miller III with 1:40 for the end. Buckeyes may have knelt on the ball and finished the game after OSU won a first checkout earlier.

According to Rittenberg, Frost did not talk about OSU’s final ownership of his post-match reporter, however, Day said he would call Frost to apologize.

OSU will be in Penn State next Saturday at 7:30PM. Nebraska will meet Wisconsin Saturday at 3:30 p. m.
