Okafor heads to RB Leipzig: Milan is looking for a replacement

Noah Okafor’s time in Italy has not passed as AC Milan would have hoped, and an exit seems likely, so the Rossoneri are starting to look for a replacement.

Okafor was never going to become an instant starter for Milan and, for a while, the role suited everyone. The Swiss secured from the bench and could help when necessary. However, this is no longer the case.

By all accounts, it seems the winger will depart in January, if not the summer, and with reports suggesting that contact with RB Leipzig is progressing, the Diavolo will need some reinforcement.

As reported by Calciomercato. com, the German team is “running” for the extreme, and it is assumed that some other extreme would arrive unless Sergio Conceicao decides otherwise. The forward is valued at 11 million euros, which would give a little spice to the kitten on the move.

At present, Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco, Jamie Leweling from Stuttgart and Pepe from Porto are being considered. Sporting winger Francisco Trincao could be an option, with Jorge Mendes’ involvement expected, but Marcus Rashford currently is the leading option, and if Manchester United lower their demands a move could be possible in the mid-season mercato.
