Olympiakos Canos midfielder thanks former Brentford teammates after honouring his late mother

Olympiakos midfielder Sergi Canos thanked his former Brentford teammates for honouring his deceased mother who died the previous week in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Arsenal.

Canos left for Olympiakos in the January movement window, but obviously has a close relationship with his London colleagues.

Brentford striker Ivan Toney committed his goal to Canós’ mother after drawing against Arsenal in the Emirates on Saturday, as the Premier League leaders suffered a mistake in their naming career.

Toney ran to his bench and surrounded those of his teammate while holding a blue Brentford blouse with the words “we are all with you Sergi,” as well as a love center.

Canós responded by tweeting “You are THANK YOU” with the damaged centre and a sad-faced emoji while mentioning the efforts of his friends in Brentford.
