Omar Marmoush: Manchester City agrees to tell Eintracht Frankfurt

Omar Marmoush is expected to fly to the UK at the start of this week to finalise his move to Manchester City.

City reached a verbal agreement with Eintracht Francfurt to indicate to MarmousH striker on Friday and excluded from the Eintracht team that beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Bundesliga on Friday night, the German club confirmed that they were “in conversations with Other conversations with other clubs.

Marmoush, who can operate across the front three, has scored 15 goals in the Bundesliga so far this season, just one behind Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane who sits top of the rankings with 16.

Explaining before Frankfurt’s 2-0 win over Dortmund, the German side’s sporting director Markus Krosche said a “high probability” Marmoush would leave the club.

“I’ve said often before that we’re in discussions with a club,” Krosche told broadcaster DAZN ahead of the game. In the end, it’s Manchester City and we’ve really been in close contact with them for one or two days now.”

To City would be a “great opportunity” for Marmoush, he added.

“We’ll see how it develops in the coming hours and perhaps days, but there is now a very high probability that he will be leaving us.”

The Egypt international agreed in principle to a move to City last week, pending an agreement between the clubs.

Since then, negotiations between clubs have intensified, Eintracht is not easy around 67. 5 million pounds sterling (80 million euros) to separate from their goods.

Txiki Begiristan, the outgoing sports director of the city, had additional negotiations with Eintracht on Monday, with the two clubs much closer to accepting a value for Marmoush.

On Wednesday, the city’s supply was a decrease that Eintracht’s initial demand, in the diversity of 59 million pounds sterling (70 million euros), plus 4. 2 million pounds sterling to 8. 4 million free books ( 5 million euros to 10 million euros) in additional modules.

Begiristain appears to have now made a breakthrough – with City set to strengthen their attacking options after looking to revitalise their defence by agreeing deals for Palmeiras prospect Vitor Reis and Lens’ Abdukodir Khusanov.

Marmush joined Eintracht in a release of his compatriot Bundesliga Club Wolfsburg in 2023.

Adam Bate of Sky Sports:

Omar Marmoush has emerged as Egypt’s other superstar forward. No player in the Bundesliga, not even Harry Kane, has been involved in more goals than the Eintracht Frankfurt man.

With almost 26 years, this was an impressive increase. Not later than in 2022, Marmoush was in Stuttgart, borrowed through the Wolfsburg parent club of the time. His fortunes have taken a step forward significantly in Frankfurt, a club that Mavens has through the game in the market.

In statements to Frankfurt sports director, Markus Krosche, before this season, is still as positive as ever about the perspective that the club wear his biggest stars. “Selling players is a component of my work. I’m not excited about that. He told Sky Sports.

“Check that he thinks about the player. They need titles. They need to play in the Premier League or the Champions League. This is a general process. There will be a point where the player develops faster than the club and then we let him go.

“This is what I tell all players. If your progression is faster than our progression as a club, and I get the cash I am waiting for, I will let you go. That is why so many young people like to come to Franfurt because we know what we know What we have to do to expand them.

But, even by Frankfurt’s high standards, the example of Marmoush is extreme. Signed on a free transfer from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2023, he has been transformed into one of the best players in the Bundesliga, an all-round forward to rival the best in Europe.
