Omar Marmoush is expected to fly to the UK at the start of this week to finalise his move to Manchester City.
City reached a verbal agreement with Eintracht Francfurt to indicate to MarmousH striker on Friday and excluded from the Eintracht team that beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Bundesliga on Friday night, the German club confirmed that they were “in conversations with Other conversations with other clubs.
Marmoush, who can operate across the front three, has scored 15 goals in the Bundesliga so far this season, just one behind Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane who sits top of the rankings with 16.
Explaining before Frankfurt’s 2-0 win over Dortmund, the German side’s sporting director Markus Krosche said a “high probability” Marmoush would leave the club.
“I’ve said often before that we’re in discussions with a club,” Krosche told broadcaster DAZN ahead of the game. In the end, it’s Manchester City and we’ve really been in close contact with them for one or two days now.”
To City would be a “great opportunity” for Marmoush, he added.
“We’ll see how it develops in the coming hours and perhaps days, but there is now a very high probability that he will be leaving us.”
The Egypt international agreed in principle to a move to City last week, pending an agreement between the clubs.
Since then, negotiations between clubs have intensified, Eintracht is not easy around 67. 5 million pounds sterling (80 million euros) to separate from their goods.
Txiki Begiristan, the outgoing sports director of the city, had additional negotiations with Eintracht on Monday, with the two clubs much closer to accepting a value for Marmoush.

Omar Marmoush has emerged as Egypt’s other superstar forward. No player in the Bundesliga, not even Harry Kane, has been involved in more goals than the Eintracht Frankfurt man.

Man City are interested in Juventus left-back Andrea Cambiaso.
It is understood that the club is at a very early level to explore the optional 24 years.
Sky Italy believes that Juventus varies from Cambaso to around 67 million pounds sterling and does check out to sell it this month.
International Italy, 24, is still 4 years old and part of its contract.
Cambiaso joined Juventus from Genoa in 2022 and has made 25 appearances this season, scoring twice and providing two assists.
