“I know how vital it was to Sheffield on Wednesday last season and it’s no coincidence that they had a tricky time in the season when the injury pulled Steven out of the team, so I think it’s a positive signing for us.”
“I enjoyed my two stints at Hibs, I can’t communicate enough about the players, the staff, the way the club, the stadium, the fans are run,” he told the Edinburgh Evening News.
“I enjoyed it and would be willing to come back someday.
“I don’t think football can close the door to anything.
“Right now, I’m just concentrating on putting my head down on Reading and looking to be part of the team, but if the day comes when the coach tells me I’m not part of his plans, then it’s football and I’ll love him. to look the other way.
“In this scenario, if the opportunity to return to Hibs were presented, it would be the one I would consider.”
Speaking to the Edinburgh Evening News, he said: “I spoke to the manager this week, he’s the sporting director, so I knew him before and I felt good about him.
“We had a very conversation. I have a blank slate here, and I just want to paint hard over the next few weeks and see what’s in the end.
“I’m satisfied enough just to bow my head, paint hard and see what comes out of it.”
