Harry Kane will return to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday as Bayern Munich travel to north London with the start of the 2024/25 campaign almost upon us.
The England captain was absent when his current club beat Tottenham in Korea a week ago, but has since returned to education and is expected to play against his former employers.
It will be his first return to his old home since moving to Germany last summer, and a raucous welcome is expected for Spurs’ most sensible goalscorer of all time, who scored 280 goals in his long spell with the Lilywhites.
Both clubs are a week away from the start of their respective domestic seasons. Bayern will kick off the DFB-Pokal clash against Ulm next Friday, and their first Bundesliga match against Wolfsburg a week later.
Meanwhile, Spurs will have to wait until Monday, August 19, when they arrive at the King Power Stadium to face newly promoted Leicester City in the first game of their Premier League campaign.
