Only a portion of the EPL clubs allowed enthusiasts when they relaxed the restrictions

LONDON (AP) – Only part of the Premier League stadiums, basically in London, will be able to return to some enthusiasts when restrictions on coronaviruses are eased next week, according to new government measures announced thursday.

Ten other Premier League clubs are in spaces ranked as the highest threat of COVID-19 infections and will remain closed to spectators, adding Manchester United and City groups.

But up to 2,000 fans will be able to play in Liverpool and Everton from Wednesday, as it has been placed at point two.

It has the same ranking for London, allowing access to up to 2000 enthusiasts at Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Tottenham and West Ham, and on the south coast for Brighton and Southampton.

This Arsenal will be able to reopen the Emirates Stadium for the Europa League home match against Rapid Vienna next Thursday.

But Manchester United’s home game the night before in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain, on the day of the end of the national blockade, will be closed to spectators.

The other clubs in Level 3 spaces and closed to spectators are: Aston Villa, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Newcastle, Leeds, Leicester and Burnley.

Fans have been largely excluded from sporting events in England since March, when COVID-19 declared a pandemic. More than 56,000 people have died of coronavirus in Britain.
