August 7 – Austrian football enthusiasts will be able to attend the Bundesliga next season, the Austrian Football League announced, with a participation of 10,000 enthusiasts.
The first Austrian flight begins on 11 September and as part of plans to return to “normality”, as the Bundesliga President Christian Ebenbauer called it, spectators who observe local fitness restrictions will be allowed to participate in live matches. However, external enthusiasts will not be allowed in the stadiums.
Rapid, Salzburg and Sturm Graz will be clubs with the capacity and area to apply the upper limit of 10,000 enthusiasts, while Austria Vienna will have capacity for between 7,500 and 8,000 enthusiasts in its stadium. TSV Hartberg, a small club, can occupy up to 2,500 seats with a mask requirement. LASK Linz, eliminated from the Europa League via Manchester United this week, announced that he would possibly need to move from Pasching to Linz’s biggest stadium.
