The Oregon football team canceled Saturday’s activities after five others on the show tested positive for COVID-19, according to James Crepea of The Oregonian.
Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal commented on the results:
“They are all asymptomatic, as general as you can imagine and all are remote and work with local medical and fitness staff to ensure that full protocol is followed. The first time we had positive antigenic testing in our program. fitness and our medical team in tactile research, which is a little deeper and I know they are delving into this issue. “
Christopher also told reporters that the entire Ducks team will be reviewed Sunday in accordance with the university’s medical policy. The five Americans who test positive will undergo a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test before additional decisions are made about those results.
According to Crepea, it is not known whether the other five people are players, members or an aggregate of the two.
The Ducks were scheduled to celebrate their 14th in fall camp and their fall scrum game.
Oregon is expected to play a six-game Pac-12 fight starting November 7 at the house opposite Stanford. The pac-12 first of all will postpone autumn sports until the 2021 calendar year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but replaced the course and opted for a shorter schedule for meetings in the overdue fall.
Other sporting events have progressed despite the COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to cancellations and postponements. According to the World Health Organization, a total of 72,342 new instances were shown in the United States on Saturday.
The Ducks will continue with the momentum created during last year’s hit season that included a Pac-12 title, a Rose Bowl victory and a number 5 rating on the most recent Associated Press ballot to crown a 12-2 campaign.
Oregon is the most sensible representative of pac-12 on this year’s AP ballot at number 13.
