From 11 a. m. , when the Olympic flame arrives at the port of Marseille, a gigantic maritime parade is organized along the coast until the end of the afternoon: the Belem will be accompanied by a thousand shippers who will sail through the north and south ports before the front of the famous three-masted ship towards the Old Port, where the boat will be moored early in the evening at a floating dock in the form of a running track. More than 1,000 ships will escort the Belem in the port of Marseille, from north to south. The maritime parade will run from L’Estaque to Arenc along the Digue du Large and La Joliette, passing in front of the Palais del Pharo, the Anse des Catalans, along the Kennedy Corniche and the Prado beaches to the Pointe Rouge and l’Escalette, then passing to the southern tip of Pomègues, in Frioul, before heading towards the Old Port.
