Passengers entering Estonia from 11 European countries must be quarantined when arriving from Monday, the Foreign Ministry said Friday.
Anyone arriving or passing through a country with a coronavirus infection rate (COVID-19) of more than 16, consistent with another 100,000 people, will have to isolate themselves for 14 days after arriving in Estonia.
The complete and updated list with reported COVID-19 rates consistent with 100,000 inhabitants is below and takes effect from Monday 27 July (arrivals from ambitious countries will have to be the subject 40 14 days after arrival in Estonia).
ERR News checked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday night, which showed that Austria and Switzerland were not on the list of countries whose arrivals must be quarantined for 14 days upon arrival in Estonia, or reported in a manner consistent with COVID-19 rates. 16 consistent with 100,000 inhabitants at the time of writing.
“The data contained in today’s press release are correct and we can verify that the restriction on freedom of movement will not apply to other people travelling to Estonia from Austria and Switzerland next week (July 27 to August 2),” the ministry told ERR. News.

What does quarantine mean?
The definition of the Police Council and the Border Guard (PPA) of a 14-day quarantine era and what the regulations are published below:
“This means that a user cannot leave their position within 14 days, unless instructed to do so by a fitness professional or a police officer, or for unavoidable reasons.
“For example, you can leave your home if your life is in danger or if you want medical attention, to renew your groceries, buy necessities or medicines. In all these cases you avoid contact with other people.
“Therefore, you do not go checkered or to overly congested trails. However, you can, for example, overtake running or riding a motorcycle if you do so without having contact with others.”
