The New England Patriots plan with another quarterback monday when they travel to Kansas City for their fourth-week rescheduled game with the Chiefs.
The Patriots are expected to bring practice quarterback Jake Dolegala to Kansas City after incumbent Cam Newton tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday. Brian Hoyer began in Newton and Jarrett Stidham’s position as reserve field marshal.
Dolegala joined the Patriots practice squad last month and will serve as an additional layer of insurance in the event of positive position control.
Originally, the Patriots were scheduled to face the Chiefs on Sunday at 4:25 p. m. After Newton and Chiefs practice quarterback Jordan Ta’amu tested positive on Friday, the game returned monday. 7:05 p. m. p. m. ET.
