Patriots rookie retires months after being selected through Bill Belichick, reports

The New England Patriots lost another player before the 2020 season because on Thursday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero announced that the middle of the seventh round, Dustin Woodard, is retiring. According to Pelissero, Woodard’s resolution is not similar to the existing COVID-19 pandemic, only to move away from football.

Woodard was a flexible internal offensive lineman who played on duty and a half for Memphis. It was Bill Belichick’s best variety in the 2020 NFL Draft. According to Pro Football Focus, Woodard was AAFC’s top senior goalkeeper in 2018 before moving to the middle for his senior season. However, this position replacement did not like it, as he was the second middle-placed in all of school football last year, again, through PFF.

While in Memphis, the Arizona homeman tied the highest start program record through an offensive lineman with 52, and all 52 came here in a row. He helped block 4 of the five most sensible offenses in Memphis football program history, according to Memphis’ official website. Many think Woodard is one of the Patriots’ most underrated possible options before this off-season.

Although Woodard was not thought of as a opt-out player, it is another piece New England hoped to have in 2020.Si there was a team that was greatly affected by the option of retiring this next season due to the coronavirus, were the Patriots. A large total of 8 players retired before the deadline: Brandon Bolden, Marcus Cannon, Patrick Chung, Dont’a Hightower, Matt LaCosse, Marqise Lee, Najee Toran and Danny Vitale. While those players are expected to return in 2021, Woodard has finished pursuing a career in the NFL.
