Paul Pogba of Manchester United with COVID-19; Retired from the French team

Manchester United star Paul Pogba has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and got rid of the French team for their upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Sweden and Croatia.

According to ESPN, French coach Didier Deschamps announced the news on Thursday: “Paul Pogba was first on the list, but unfortunately for him he underwent a check that proved positive this morning.”

France’s clash against Sweden is scheduled for September 5 and its clash with Croatia is scheduled for September 8.

Pogba is also expected to miss the start of Manchester United’s preseason training, which begins on 2 September. The Red Devils’ first game of the season is scheduled for September 19 against Crystal Palace.

The 27-year-old is about to start his fifth season with United after returning to Manchester from Juventus in 2016. Pogba had one year of career in 2018-19 with thirteen goals in 35 EPL games, but limited to 16 games last season. . and scored only once.

An ankle injury that required surgery, the main explanation for why Pogba wasted time and was much less effective than last season.

Pogba has shown in his career that he is among the most talented players in the world when he is in good health, especially on the overseas stage.

He named the most productive young player of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and helped France win the World Cup four years later, in which he scored a goal in the top opposition to Croatia.

France’s intensity will be tested without Pogba in the line-up for UEFA Nations League matches, and the same can be said for Manchester United if Pogba returns in time for the start of the 2020–21 EPL season.
