Pedro says goodbye to Chelsea after surgery

Chelsea striker Pedro underwent shoulder surgery before an expected move to Roma, no longer playing for the Premier League club.

The 33-year-old Spaniard proved on social media that his operation had been a success.

Pedro will miss the second leg of the last 16 Chelsea Champions League matches at Bayern Munich on Saturday before leaving Stamford Bridge.

“The operation went well, I’ll be back soon,” Pedro said on Instagram. “It’s a shame not to win the FA Cup. Thank you for all your support.”

Chelsea tweeted: “We wish you all a recovery, _Pedro17_!” in reaction to its update.

Pedro spent years at Chelsea after arriving from Barcelona in 2015, winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League.
