Pep Guardiola can leave his legacy at Manchester City leading the club to the glory of the Champions League, according to former Arsenal and Chelsea side Ashley Cole.
City beat Spanish champion Real Madrid 2-1 in the last 16 matches last week to seal a 4-2 aggregate victory and qualify for the 16 mini-tournament circular in Lisbon.
Lyon is Saturday’s next quarter-final match, as City watches for the quarter-finals for the time being, where Bayern Munich are waiting after the 8-2 demolition of Guardiola’s former team, Barcelona.

Cole is a big fan of Guardiola’s paintings and believes more cutlery can stay if the Catalan coach finishes his nine-year wait for a third Champions League trophy.
But Chelsea’s manager also warned that Guardiola could take the opportunity to retire in style, having won a lot of national honors at Etihad Stadium.
“He did a task in Man City in terms of transformation,” Cole told Stats Perform News.
“It makes them play beautiful, attack football with an understanding of rotation and is smart for the eye.

“But who knows? If he wins the Champions League, you never know what’s going to happen. “
“As a football fan and who likes to watch City play, of course I’d like Pep to stay and continue with the legacy that started and continues to fight for trophies. “
However, Lyon took four editions from City last season’s knockout and beat this year’s Italian champion, Juventus, in this year’s first knockout.
And Cole, who spent two seasons betting under Lyon manager Rudi García in Rome, says city can’t look beyond the match at the José Alvalade Stadium.

“Some people might say it’s a simple task for Manchester City, but Lyon has had some tough matches,” he said.
“Breaking up with Juventus in two matches and qualifying shows the quality they have. I know the quality of Rudi García; tactically, he is very conscious, so it will be a very complicated match for Manchester City. “
“It’s a simple task for City and I think it’s going to be a very complicated match. Anyone can win it.
“Lyon has very damaging players. I think Lyon can win, Man City can win. “
