Pepijn Lijnders is expected to take on the role of head coach of Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg following his departure from Liverpool.
Dutchman Lijnders, who initially worked with Brfinishan Rodgers, will leave Anfield under manager Jurgen Klopp at the end of the Premier League campaign.
Liverpool have shown that Vitor Matos, who spent four-and-a-half years as the club’s elite progression coach, will also sign for Salzburg as Lijnders’ assistant.
“I am very proud of the new manager of FC Red Bull Salzburg,” Lijnders told Liverpool’s website.
“It’s a real privilege for me. After PSV Eindhoven, Porto and Liverpool, I now join another exceptional club, with a very intelligent organisation and a special focus on the development of young people.
“I need to expand a mentality in the team that puts a lot of emphasis on the taste of the offensive game and where the fans and the thirst for good luck are the basis of everything.
