One reporter spoke of Antonio Gibson and Bryce Love while discussing the Washington backfield after the release of Derrius Guice. Rivera responded by mentioning Barber, who has made 23 starts for Tampa Bay in the last two seasons, but averaged just 3.5 YPC during that period. He plans to compete with Adrian Peterson for the first races, while Gibson and J.D. McKissic will probably handle the passes. Love can be just an option for a variety of situations, it’s necessarily a stranger after not having his rookie season in 2019 for a knee injury.
