Pinsoglio will get a new contract with Juventus: two main reasons for renewal

Juventus’ third goalkeeper Carlo Pinsoglio will sign a new contract in the coming days or weeks.

At the moment, the three first-team goalkeepers have contracts that expire in 2025.

But while the futures of Wojciech Szczesny and Mattia Perin remain uncertain, Pinsoglio seems destined to remain in Turin.

According to Tuttosport IlBianconero, the 34-year-old has reached an agreement with the management to extend his contract until 2026.

According to the source, Juventus have two main reasons for retaining the Italian goalkeeper.

First of all, he is one of the most popular players at the club, both among his teammates and the fans thanks to the positive power he transmits and his wide smile.

Juventus fans won’t forget Pinsoglio’s shrill voice during the Covid-19 pandemic when he acted as his teammate’s number one supporter in the absence of a crowd in the stands.

The second explanation is his prestige as a young product of Juventus. Therefore, it would gain advantages of one more place on the Champions League roster next season (i. e. if the club manages to qualify for the next edition).

The goalkeeper started his career at the Bianconeri and was then loaned out to numerous Serie B clubs.

However, he has been an integral part of the Juve team since 2017.
