MILAN (AP) – Andrea Pirlo will debut as Juventus home manager against Sampdoria on the weekend of 19-20 September, followed by matches against Roma and Napoli.
The Milan derby in the fourth is also on the 2020-21 Serie A calendar published on Wednesday.
Pirlo, the notable former midfielder who had never coached before, recently hired through Juventus to upgrade to maurizio Sarri’s dismissal.
Juventus are seeking their 10th consecutive Serie A title.
The quarter-finals of the Champions League, Atalanta and Inter Milan, europa League finalists, will be postponed for their first match after completing last season later than the rest of the clubs.
Atalanta was taken to Lazio in the first round, while Inter decided on the newly promoted Benevento, the 2019–2020 Serie B champion led by Filippo Inzaghi.
The government has still legalized the return of fans to Italian stadiums.
