“They got here quickly during that time,” Washington said earlier this summer. “I was very educated, mainly. And I know some coaches have taken note of that. They contacted my coaches and let them know they wanted to offer an offer, and they congratulated me and things like that. My coaches told me. ‘You.’ I wouldn’t believe who called today.’
“Getting over 10 donations is already great. I lost my time of year, so I feel like I know the donations are coming.”
