In this edition of podcast Geaux247, Billy Embody and Shea Dixon explain how LSU wants to improve and what they want to correct after the 45-41 defeat to Missouri.

Head coach Ed Orgeron said Monday that coaches will make some adjustments to workers and that the defense will want to be simplified to put players in a position to succeed.

“First of all, I think the first question, I think is somewhere in between,” Orgeron said during his Zoom call. “First of all, we want to simplify and put our players in the most productive position imaginable; and I think when you do that, our players will play. So I think he’s somewhere in between. It’s not as hard as it sounds, but it’s not easy. I think he’s somewhere in between. And it just starts with us. Start with training. Secondly, they organize many counter-games. It is ok. And infrequently we’re flipping that and the supporter was going too far, and the defensive tackle, the end was finished to push it over the line and let the supporter go. He didn’t do that. Wrong fundamentals.

“So there are things you’ve noticed there. We’re going to make some changes to the workers’ bodies, maybe there are bigger defensive lines so we can play the race better. Obviously, I think our passing career is pretty smart right now. But we have to be to prevent the race. I think it’s about betting on the biggest guys at the front and betting on a better technique. “
