Police chiefs have a month to avoid promoting exotic meats in illegal restaurants – IGP

DENGKIL, August 19 – All district police chiefs in the country will have until September 18 to make sure their respective spaces are free from illegal restaurants that promote or serve exotic food, said Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador here today. .

In addition to measures to be taken at illegal wildlife-promoting premises, the district police leader should provide a monthly report to Bukit Aman if an illegal place or place to eat has interaction in such activities.

“The directive issued to help the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) combat endemic illegal poaching activities.

“I want our country to free itself from buying and promoting meat from exotic animals like hedgehogs, pythons and crocodiles,” Khazanah’s Integrated Operations press convention at Paya Indah Wetlands said today.

Abdul Hamid police would cooperate with Perhilitan on the issue.

“Don’t tell me that with three hundred to 500 officers (police) in one area, you detect lifestyles of illegal and local restaurants that promote exotic animals?” Asked.

Abdul Hamid said his team had won a report from a non-governmental organization (NGO) threatened with wearing down his paintings in an attempt to conserve the threatened environment.

“The NGO only gives it to conserve flora and fauna, but its protection is threatened by poachers.

“The poachers who have threatened the NGO are locals and we will take difficult steps against those who retreat to threaten NGOs, agents or law enforcement agents who carry out their tasks of maintaining flora and fauna,” he added.
