J’Neil Bennett, Jack Roles and Shilow Tracey were on the right track, as our under-23s continued their preseason crusade with a 3–1 victory over Dulwich Hamlet in a friendly behind closed doors on Saturday.

The bennett winger’s excellent solo effort in the quarter of an hour canceled through Jeffrey Monakana for the Southern National League team on Hotspur Way, but Roles re-established our lead from the penalty point with an hour elapsed, before Tracey finished the scoring soon after.

Roles’ early head in downtown Bennett came from the crossbar when we made early forays into Hamlet’s defense, before Hamlet discovered the area to propel to the left channel, cutting to finish well and give us the lead.

Monakana’s roller slid past Brandon Austin and stood in the way of the moment when Dulwich responded in the 21st minute, but we saw a handful of subsequent opportunities calling for alms: Maurizio Pochettino denied through the goalkeeper with an indirect shot from within the area while Kion Etete pitched from Roles’ cross missed the target.

Etete fired wide in the counterattack five minutes later, but we nevertheless regained the advantage in time when Roles got into the box before dusting down to convert the resulting penalty.

Tracey made the 3-1 in the 62nd minute, recovering the ball in the area and shooting at the house from the left corner from nearby diversity, while replacement Chay Cooper denied very good goalkeeper tackles three times in the final. Nile John had the last purpose, attempted away in the 89th minute, his well-stored deflected shot through the doorman to his left.
