Liverpool on Saturday sealed the signing of Portuguese striker Diogo Jota from the Wolves for one million pounds ($54 million).
Jota has signed a “long-term” contract with Premier League champions, which would be a five-year contract.
The 23-year-old joins Liverpool 24 hours after signing Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcántara for a down payment of 20 million pounds.
Liverpool signed Greek left-back Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiakos earlier in the play window.
Jota will provide attacking intensity for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, competing with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino for betting time on open positions in the team’s third row.

“It’s an exciting time for me and my family,” Jota said on liverpool’s website.
“My whole career since I was a kid and now I joined a club like Liverpool, the world champion, it’s just amazing. I just need to get started.
“They’re world-class players. In any game, they seek to win. They score a lot of goals and scores together.
“I need to be one more piece to sign up for those 3 (before). “
Jota said moving to Anfield was too smart an opportunity to turn her down.
“When you look at the Premier League, you see Liverpool as one of the biggest groups in the country, so you’re very unlikely to say no,” he said.
“So we just have to come (to the club), do our best and I can become a smart choice for Liverpool in the future. “
Jota has scored 16 goals in his last 67 Premier League appearances and Klopp believes it is still the final product.
“He’s a player who gives us so many features to use. It’s 23 years old, still a kind of finished article, so much potential. It has speed, it can combine, it can defend, it can support,” Klopp said. .
“This makes things even more unpredictable and gives us genuine features for other systems, as it can play almost 3 positions forward in a 4-3-3 if we play with 4 midfielders, you can play in any of the bands.
“It has herbal things that we have in our game, like that and greed and direction.
“It’s part of this amazing Portuguese generation right now, where you have a lot of pretty talented players.
“He knows it’s a step for him and he can give us things we don’t have, that’s why it’s great. The room for improvement is not what I like the most, but it’s there. “
Former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jota joined the Wolves on loan on his 2017–18 league crusade before becoming a permanent in 2018.
Although Jota’s decomposition is a blow to the Wolves, they may be awaiting the arrival of 18-year-old Dutch defender Ki-Jana Hoever from Liverpool as a component of the deal with Jota.
“Ki will register for us. He’s a young player, a player who I think has genuine potential, he’s talented. And it’s up to us to make the most of it,” Nuno said.
Gareth Bale sealed his return to Tottenham Hotspur on loan for one season for Real Madrid. The Spurs have also closed the signing of left-back Sergio Reguilon of the Spanish champion for a payment of 30 million euros.
Bale, however, will not have enough compatibility for Jose Mourinho until October, when he recovers from a knee injury.
Aston Villa signed Burkina Faso striker Bertrand Traoré from Lyon on Saturday for $17 million ($21 million).
Traoré returns to the Premier League after his career with Chelsea, where he spent three years with current Villa Assistant Manager John Terry.

The 25-year-old’s signing lives up to Villa’s offensive features after Ollie Watkins arrived from Brentford for a club record of 28 million pounds this month.
“We are very pleased that Bertrand has chosen to come to Villa,” technician Dean Smith told his club’s website.
“He’s a player with great skill who will really have our attack options. “
Villa, who escaped relegation on the final day of last season, also recently recruited Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and Nottingham Forest right-back Matty Cash.
Smith begins his Crusade at the Premier League home against Sheffield United on Monday.
Chelsea defender Davide Zappacosta joined Italian Genoa on Saturday on loan for one season.
Italian Zappacosta, a foreigner, has returned to Serie A after his transfer to Rome last season was interrupted by a knee ligament injury.

He recovered from surgery in time to make six appearances in the Italian elite before the end of the season.
The 28-year-old right-back, who joined Chelsea in 2017, has been a marginal figure in the Premier League, with 34 openings and 18 replacement games.
Zappacosta, who has won thirteen matches with Italy, joins a Genoa team that finished 17th in Serie A last season.
