We spend a lot of time discussing the average position of the task as a whole. This is how we frame elevators and falls, smart shopping and bad shopping, sleepers and busts, etc. ADP even the frames I like or don’t like. What we don’t communicate about is what ADP we’re discussing.
For a variety of reasons, ADP can vary greatly depending on the site you are writing on. This may be influenced by site projections, default ratings, analyst ratings, and the default scoring system. And over the time we arrive at the end of August, ADP is even influenced by itself. Think of me :. If you’re writing on Yahoo and you’re watching Ronald Jones in Round 5, maybe that won’t give you a break as your ADP shows Round 8? On the other hand, you wouldn’t think twice if you type in NFC, where your ADP is number 60 in general.
Jamey Eisenberg does a wonderful task every week to keep you up to date with the latest CBS Fantasy ADP move, so I’ll detail my favorite prices on ESPN, Yahoo and NFC below. I’m not saying I deserve to wait until the 13th circular to write Jamison Crowder on Yahoo; I think it’s a Round 8 price in this format. If you want a player, I wouldn’t be ashamed to make them two circulars before their site-specific ADP.
I had this discussion with Ben Gretch on Thursday’s Fantasy Football Today podcast. Check it out here:
After my favorite values, I also have some deep sleepers for each site. All of these players will be available after Round 12 on average.
Yahoo Deep Sleepers: Jamison Crowder, Tony Pollard, Christian Kirk, Preston Williams, Boston Scott
ESPN Deep Sleepers: Antonio Gibson, Chase Edmonds, Jonnu Smith, Allen Lazard
Deep NFC Sleepers: Minshew Gardner, Bryce Love, Laviska Shenault, Malcolm Brown
