Fans will get their first look at Brevard County’s best school football groups live Friday night, when 12 of them play in preseason games.
Two games will count toward regular-season records as Bayside and Space Coast play in the Sunshine State Athletic Association, which begins Friday due to their previous playoff debut. Seven other schools in the region are the educational versions, adding 3 locations where groups will be local: Cocoa visiting Satellite, Rockledge at Heritage, and Viera Palm Bay.
Half of those groups (the Raiders, Pirates and Hawks) will play under new head coaches; Viera’s Anthony Gulla served as Viera’s interim coach last year.
