Coach Massimiliano Canzi spoke to the press after Juventus Women First Team’s 3-1 defeat away against Roma on Matchday 15 of the Women’s Serie A.
“According to the law of averages, sooner or later we had to suffer a defeat: today Roma deserved the victory, it’s fair to give credit to the opponent. There are still 33 things to be won between now and the end of the season: so I think that each and every one of the things was still to be played before this match, and now it is even more so. We are calm, we continue our season with confidence. We knew that Roma would start aggressively, then there were other stages of the adjustment and they treated them better than us. I never thought the championship was over, anything can happen: we knew it would be a confusing encounter. Losing is never smart: our goal is to win each and every game we play, but it can also be positive, although the attitude of my players today was very smart. After the draw we tried to go through and win, perhaps with too much momentum, and we didn’t play as we would have liked.
Canzi: The atmosphere is positive.
