The Professional Football Hall of Fame has welcomed many visitors since its inauguration on September 7, 1963. The original museum, consisting of two buildings, containing 19,000 square feet of interior space, was expanded to 118,000 square feet after expansions in 1971, 1978, 1995 and 2013. Currently, the Hall campus is undergoing a major transformation with the approximately $600 million allocation of Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village underway.
