Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille face off on Wednesday for the Champions Trophy at RC Lens’s Stade Bollaert.
Usually the occasion that opens the curtain of the French national football season, the trophy pits the Winner of Ligue 1 against the winner of the French Cup.
However, the PSG’s national sweep in 2019-20 means marseille is there by default, as it ended the moment in the French elite.
The former heads of Tottenham Hotspur, Mauricio Pochettino and Andre Villas-Boas, will return to their wisdom and it is a possibility for any of them to win their first silver medal with their respective clubs and with the Argentine in their career.

PSG: Pochettino claimed his first PSG coaching victory this weekend with a 3-0 home win over Stade Brestois 29 in Ligue 1 following a 1–1 draw at Saint-Etienne on his debut and his players showed symptoms of response. Parc des Princes on Saturday.
From a five-match undefeated streak and with three victories out of those five, Parisians are on their way to come in this one while Marseille continues to falter in the Championship.
Pochettino is not yet sure that Neymar and Presnel Kimpembe have compatibility and are available for the crash, but the Brazilian superstar has nevertheless returned to training.
After losing 1-0 at home to the previous OM of the season, PSG will be willing to make a precise rematch and Pochettino will be motivated for his first experience in the Classic as head coach.

Marseille: Villas-Boas and their players enter this after a victory in their last five outings in Ligue 1 with two losses and two draws.
Marseille still has two games in hand over their name rivals, but even the six problems can push them to fourth place after losing so much floor with home defeats at Stade Rennais and Angers SCO, as well as draws opposing players like Stade de Reims. and Dijon FCO.
For OM, it’s a wonderful opportunity to gather the cutlery and all its bad-tempered victory in Paris at the start of the season against a Pochettino team that is still adapting to the replacement of management.
