PSV have enjoyed a start to the season, having won all 16 Eredivisie matches and qualifying for the UEFA Champions League round of 16, with Tillman and Dest playing key roles. Tillman is tied for third on the team with five goals in the league, while Dest started at left-back and scored an adorable goal against AZ Alkmaar in the team’s win on Sunday.
Stewart, who resigned as U. S. Soccer, who will take over at PSV in January, has indicated that either player would like to be at the club (Dest is on loan from Barcelona; Tillman is on loan from Bayern Munich. )
“Fortunately, yes,” Stewart said. As a club, you can need anything, but a player is very vital in this area. You talk about it first with the player and their control, so it’s a bit inappropriate to say that here. at this table. “
PSV’s next match will be on Thursday in the Dutch KNVB Cup against FC Twente. On January 13, against Excelsior, they will equal the Eredivisie record for the longest winning streak.
One of Stewart’s first moves to PSV was to sign American striker Ricardo Pepi from FC Augsburg in July. Pepi has four league goals off the bench and has scored two goals in the Champions League.
