Pundit expects Chelsea-shaped star to lose position in Lampard lineup

Owen Hargreaves believes Tammy Abraham will eventually lose his position in Chelsea’s starting lineup despite his recent good form.

The England alien has long looked like a thrilling young prospect at Stamford Bridge, but he probably wouldn’t seem smart enough to be a Blues regular since he was promoted to his first team last season.

However, Abraham is in the most sensible way right now, having scored three consecutive games for Chelsea, and that will give Lampard something to think about for the next campaign.

Hargreaves, however, believes it will remain the first selection at the helm, and the expert expects Lampard to move on with a third of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic when he can.

“Amazing? Timo Werner is invincible. But I think it makes him a team player,” said HARgreaves, a BT Sport expert, about Abraham, quoted on the subway.

“I think he got 15 [goals] last season. I don’t think he has enough credits for his game in general.

“I like the fact of his size, technically, I think he is bigger than what other people characterize him.

“He scores goals, but I think when Frank gets his team, he’ll be Ziyech on one side, Pulisic on the other, then Werner in the middle [with] Havertz and Mount [behind].

“I think it will be your most productive team. But Tammy is going to be a very player on the team. “

Chelsea enthusiasts agree that this turns out to be their most productive striker, at least on paper, but Abraham actually hopes to continue to impress and prove that he deserves to be in Lampard’s thinking.
