With Ryan Kent’s continued heartbreak in Turkey, Ibrox Noise looked to take a look at various releases from this summer and reflect on much of the context here.
With a normal site suggesting that Rangers are short on open players (wow, yes) and that Kent would have been a much bigger option than most of the squad we’ve had lately, it’s worth the five players released in May, as well as a few of the sales and thinking about what a true manager like Philippe Clement could have gotten out of them. . .
Mcgregor:
Forget that, well done, he quietly retired from football and rendered us a service, but that one is over. Butland has been a successor.
Helander:
At his best in Odense, Denmark, Helander, a left-footer, plays in a different league than Ben Davies and is an excellent defender. Back in Sweden, he is a top-notch goalkeeper who would have been better off if he had stayed. – Philippe Clément would have done wonders here.
Arfield:
He just wanted to play for us, but Beale didn’t care. It would have been a wonderful tool for any coach, not just Clement, but the former wasn’t interested.
Kent:
We covered this in depth: we might not use the formula Beale was looking for from him, it completely weakened him, and we’d surely love to see what Clement could get out of Kent. At best, he opposed the upper class, which is destroying Europe. He killed Dortmund practically single-handedly, but Beale destroyed him. Clément would have enjoyed this guy.
Morelos:
No, this one is over. Nothing will convince us that staying in Morelos would have been a smart idea. He had wanted to leave for so long that we don’t think Clément would have tolerated his attitude. It’s only now that the grass is no longer green that Morelos gets horny for some fans. At his most productive he’s a great striker, but now he’s fading into obscurity. Their own fault.
Tail:
As with Arfield, The Mick was an idiot for this one: he just didn’t like Colak, he wasn’t interested, and now we have desserts that the enthusiasts didn’t like. Clément would have enjoyed Colak and his clinical finish.
Sakala:
Here’s an attractive one: we think Sakala would have been a new player under Clement. Less selfish, more refined, more industrious, and more clinical; the ability was there, that’s for sure, and he’s doing well in Saudi Arabia. however, I believe in the rawness of the child that Clement cultivates. It may have been something much bigger for us.
We will prevent that for now.
Because we thanked Mick to Lammers, Dessers, Sterling and Dowell. I still can’t think that Clément did much more with the previous team. . .
Look what he’s doing with this one. . .
