Very good, how about that to impress?
Rangers controlled 24 shots against Celtic, which is their opponents’ most in a league match since records began, while the Bhoys controlled just 4 shots, the fewest they have had in a league match since records began the records.
It is not a bad play of the Rangers. This is even more remarkable, they only had 39% of the ball . . .

He also adds that he hopes his father, legendary star Gheorge, who was in the stands, can come more often after seeing this win.

It’s a better start to the New Year for Rangers, and it deserves to be enjoyed in style, but there’s one lingering sobering fact.
Rangers are still 11 points behind Celtic. With half of the season to go, it’s not an insurmountable gap, but they need to get a move on.
It is difficult to see where Celtic’s next defeat will come, but at least the Rangers denied their invincibility this crusade of the League, and they were given revenge for their collapse in September.

Well, we’re still catching our breath from that one.
Surprisingly, this is the second time Brendan Rodgers loses against the Rangers in 21 games. He has won 16. Celtic has had an advantage in the old corporate in recent history.
Drink it, ranger enthusiasts. These moments no longer happen like that those days.

WIN MASSIVE RANGERS!!
Huge congratulations to Clement and his team who came into the game as massive underdogs but have ended up schooling the champions in a 3-0 win!
A surprise score and a surprise game. Terrible Celtic and Rangers took full advantage.
By Tum Balogun
You don’t need to waste time, Phillippe. You’re three nil up! He’s opted to make even more changes before the final whistle. Hagi, Igamane and Raskin depart for Cortes, Barron and Dessers.

Jefte gets his ovation from the fans as he is replaced by the youngster Fraser.
By Tum Balogun
Terrifying moment in Ibrox when play is stopped after a Celtic player is hit by an object thrown from the stands. Engels fell, but now he has risen and the game has resumed.

Where does this come from?
Jefte bombs down the left flank and his deflected cross falls to the substitute Danilo who calmly slid the ball past a helpless Schmeichel. It’s an afternoon to forget for Rodgers’ side who have been second-best in every department.

Brazilian striker Danilo replaces Bajami during the last 10 minutes of the game.

Igamane goes down after running hard to get beyond the Celtic defence. Those who raise them returned to Schmeichel’s goal, but a frankly horrible pass from the striker saw the move fail.

Hatate is replaced via club signature machines during the final 15 minutes of the match.

Just what they deserve!
The Rangers doubled their lead and it was the Rangers’ first goal for defenseman Robin Propper. Celtic’s marking in the corner, which led to the goal, was shocking.
Hagi had a loose header from the penalty that was blocked on the line and fell to take who couldn’t lose. Ibrox bounces. The Rangers are on their way to victory.
By Tum Balogun
Brendan Rodgers has already realized enough. He made a triple replacement after the hour mark, with Idah, Valle and McCowan replacing Kyogo, Taylor and Bernardo.
By Tum Balogun
The winger takes revenge on Jefte after their clash in the first half. He lunged at the Rangers guy after beating him all the way. A caution.
By TUM Balogun
Cerny plays the post for the second time this afternoon and what time can this represent? He won the ball without opposition to Schmeichel to beat. He set out to roll it in the furthest corner, but placed it too open and saw his effort to return to the foot of the post.
I should have scored.

The Rangers have been warned. Kyogo produced a magical moment that seemed to have brought the point of the visitors. But the initial career of the attacker came too early and he beyond the last defender when he made the pass.
It’s a shame, because what he did after that was special. The attacker carried him on his chest and dangled him over Kelly and into the net. What a goal that would have been.
By Tum Balogun
Celtic are already better. Kyogo and Maeda took the ball in complex positions, forcing Sterling to face danger. Nio Goalmouth Action to communicate for now, however, everything Rodgers said turns out to have worked perfectly.

Rodgers resists the urge to make changes at the break. It’s Rangers who kick things off in the second period. Can they keep it going?

There have been some quite dominant things by the local team in terms of shooting. They will feel disappointed for having forced Schmeichel to save.

There is a rapprochement between the skippers of the two groups, as the referee’s whistle at half-time blows in Obrox. Raskin earned the third yellow card of the match, while McGregor escaped what would have been his moment of the match.
Philippe Clément will be extremely happy with his team’s candidacy for the first forty-five minutes. His team has a well-deserved breakthrough and is absolutely like the adjustment of his opponents.
Celtic, on the other hand, will have to settle it. As undeniable as that. They were terrible for most of this part and only got lucky with one.
By Tum Balogun
Kelly made a timely and late contribution to maintain the advantage of the rangers at rest. The Celtic despite everything controlled to get an intelligent shipment and the ball fell in Kyoto on the edge of the area.
The Japanese star received an intelligent connection in her volley medium, however, Kelly was left strong and made the effort.
By Tum Balogun
The Brazilian bleeds Nicolas Kuhn del Celtic after a disagreement play right in front of the line judge. The defense of the Rangers passed over Kuhn but, perhaps unintentionally, launched its arm in the direction of the attacker.
Doctors do the most productive to stop blood flow. They will have time to paint well over it after the incoming loose kick.
By Tum Balogun
Two more minutes until Rangers can take a lead back to the dressing room. Maybe I should be saying it’s two more minutes for them to find a deserved second. Surely Celtic can’t be this bad after the break?
By Tum Balogun
Carter-Vickers to Celtic’s rescue after Igamane plays a devastating ball. The Rangers striker took a lot while which of the 3 characteristics he would place at halftime and after opting for the Diamonde Central, his pass arrived here so close to locating him.
Carter-Vikers, though had other ideas and perfectly timed a slide tackle that disposed the Rangers man.
By Tum Balogun
The Celtic skipper gets a really stupid booking, in another demonstration of how rattled the champions are. The Scotland international is cautioned for sticking a leg out as Rangers tried to take a quick free kick. Let’s see if that comes back to haunt him.
By Tum Balogun
Brendan Rodgers will be furious. Many of its stars make mistakes. The Rangers intimidate them and may be lucky enough to be just a goal away.
By tum balogun
A brilliance in the middle of the Park opens to Celtic and deserves to have noticed that the hosts double their advantage. The scorer discovered his teammate Cerny, who went to an overlapping yilmaz when he deserved to have taken it internal and risk.
That resolution ultimately failed, however, Clément will be pleased to see his team enjoying an era of their own goal.
By Tum Balogun
Alright, let’s get back to the action. Celtic have just started to exercise their hosts in the final minutes. His play passes last a little longer, his player’s passes are more coherent, but there is no real scoring opening.
A few minutes ago, Maeda cut through the left flank and tried to beat a shot into the maximum, but very wide remote corner from Kelly’s left post.
By Tum Balogun
Look who’s made the trip up north for the massive game at Ibrox. The Premier League’s all-time top scorer and former team-mate of Celtic iconic Chris Sutton, Alan Shearer.
Newcastle’s legend turns out to be in a good mood. So far he has enjoyed an exciting game.
By Tum Balogun
The Rangers press has been remarkable so far in this game. They can’t actually continue with this. This time, Yilmaz, who picked it up in a deep position and went to the Celta Box.
Unfortunately for the defender, he couldn’t catch his strike as sweetly as his team-mate and his shot was rather easy for Schmeichel to save.
By Tum Balogun
By Tum Balogun
Cerny almost doubled the advantage of the Rangers with a long -term effort that diverted the crossbar of Schmeichel. The Danish seemed quite without blood about it, but it was very close.
By tum Balogun
Rangers have managed a manic few minutes quite well since the goal. Celtic continue to look dangerous in attack but Clement will be pleased by how his side have managed their emotions after taking the lead.
It’s the best first 10 minutes.
By TUM Balogun
And that!
I spoke about Celtic’s elegance in attack, but Rangers have just shown that they have a lot in abundance. The home side intercepted a careless pass from midfield and their Raskin that headed towards the Celtic defense.
He flicks it back to Hagi who arrows a low drive past Schmeichel. What a start. What a noise from Ibrox.
By tum Balogun
Rangers respond and force the Celtic defence into three blocks. They’re calling for a penalty but none of Bajrami’s efforts caught a Celtic hand. Despite their injury woes in defence, they still carry a threat up front. That was proof.
By Tum Balogun
I’m about to say how well the Rangers started, how competitive they were in the first minute and out of nowhere, Celtic take the ball ahead with two passes and force a corner.
From the set-piece Rangers were fortunately not to concede when Maeda failed to connect from an inswinging cross. This could be a long afternoon for the home supporters.
By Tum Balogun
Celtic start the action in Glasgow. Hopefully this is a thing.

Ibrox is silent in paying his respects for the lives lost in the 1971 Ibrox crisis. Impeccably observed by everyone in the stadium on the 54th anniversary of the tragedy.
By TUM Balogun
The players are out onto the pitch in front of a packed Ibrox stadium. Rangers and Clement can ill afford to lose this game, never mind badly. You don’t envy the depleted side that is about to take on Rodgers’ all-conquering Celtic side.

There’s not long left now until the action gets under at Ibrox. We’ve got a few pictures of Liam Kelly, in for Jack Butland, warming up for the clash. It’s a big day for the 28-year-old, who makes his second league appearance of the season.

Philippe Clement, Rangers boss, Sky Sports:

This makes reading pleasant for Rangers fans. As mentioned, Celtic is located in the most sensible place in the table with 50 problems in 18 games. Then come the Gers with 36, two more than the wonderful Aberdeen package.
Recognizing a hole as it would be extraordinary, Rodgers’ Celtic groups have proven to be almost unstoppable forces over the years.

The visitors are in the lead in the build-up to this afternoon’s game with the option of taking a 17-point lead over their rivals. From the look on their faces, I think that’s precisely what they intend to do.

So let’s take a closer look at the injury problems plaguing the home team today. Starting goalkeeper Jack Butland is absent after being admitted to hospital with internal bleeding in his leg.
Elsewhere, skipper James Tavernier, Neraysho Kasanwirjo and John Souttar will also be unavailable. Leon Balogun – no relation – is a doubt.
To learn more about this terrifying butland injury, take a look at the following story.

A service took position in the Ibrox Memorial crisis before today’s confrontation. The manager of the Rangers Phillipe Clement, General Manager Patrick Stewart, the president of Celta Peter Lawwell and many others paid tribute to the 66 football supporters who tragically died in the box an assembly between the two groups in 1971
Today, years have passed since this terrible tragedy.

The Belgian boss has come under pressure this term for his team’s performances and, more importantly, their results. Clement was appointed at Ibrox in October 2023 and since then he has faced Celtic six times without victory.
He came close in the League Cup final, when his team suffered an agonizing 5-4 penalty shootout defeat after a thrilling 3-3 draw. Will today be the seventh time’s the charm? You feel like this will have to be the case.

Valle, Engels and Maeda reach the initial eleven instead of Taylor, McGregor and Yang.

Here are some pictures of the home stars arriving at Ibrox for this afternoon’s game. I see some smiles! A few of the players are clearly relishing the chance to shock a few today.

Hello and welcome to the first Old Firm Derby Sport policy of 2025, the 444º of History, in fact. It is fair to say that this has not arrived at the right time for the premises, which come from a defeat and a draw in their last two games.
These effects caused Philippe Clement’s team to lose 14 points to his Celtic team against arch-rival Arch in the name race. This advantage is already unassailable, 17 cannot be corrected.
This afternoon the task of the Gers is even more complicated due to the accumulation of injuries. We’ll get to that shortly, but the bottom line is that the Rangers are hesitating to the bone.
All of this leads to the conclusion that it will be a Celtic win, but Stranger Things has happened and the home team will gain confidence from their performance in the League Cup final defeat to Brendan Rodger’s side last month.
We’ll have everything from Glasgow before the start of 3:00 p. m. and then Ibrox updates when the action begins!
