Alright, how about this to impress?
Rangers had 24 shots against Celtic, which is the most their rivals have faced in a league game since records began, while The Bhoys only managed four shots, the least they have had in a league match since records began.
Not bad going from Rangers. It’s even more remarkable considering they only had 39 per cent of the ball…

Talking to Sky Sports:
He also adds that he hopes that his father, the legendary star Gheorge, who was in the stands, can come more after seeing this victory.

Chris Sutton, co-host of Mail Sport’s podcast It’s All Kicking Off!, shared his quick reaction on X.

It’s a better start to the New Year for Rangers, and it deserves to be enjoyed in style, but there’s a sobering fact.
Rangers remain 11 Celtic problems. Halfway through the season, the hole is not insurmountable, but they want to move on.
It’s hard to see where Celtic’s next defeat is coming from, but at least Rangers have denied them invincibility this league campaign – and got revenge for their equivalent drubbing in September.
By Luke Power
Well, we’re still catching our breath from that one.
Remarkably, this is the longest Brendan Rodgers has lost to Rangers in 21 games. They have won 16. Celtic have had the advantage in the old company in recent history.
Drink it in, Rangers fans. These moments don’t come around so often nowadays.

They win the mass rangers!
A huge congratulations to Clément and his team, who came in as underdogs and ended up becoming champions with a 3-0 victory!
A surprise score and a surprise game. Celtic lousy and rangers took the most.
By Tum Balogun
You don’t need to waste time, Phillippe. You’re three nil up! He’s opted to make even more changes before the final whistle. Hagi, Igamane and Raskin depart for Cortes, Barron and Dessers.

Jefte receives the ovation of enthusiasts while replaced through the young Fraser.
By Tum Balogun
Scary moment at Ibrox as the game is paused after a Celtic player is struck by an object thrown from the stands. Engels went down but thankfully has now risen and play has resumed.

Where did this come from?
Jefte bombarded the left flank and his deviant cross fell to replace Danilo, who calmly slid the ball in front of a helpless Schmeichel. It was an afternoon for Rodgers team, who was a moment in each department.

Brazilian striker Danilo replaced Bajrami for the last 10 minutes of the match.

Igamane goes down after running hard to get beyond the Celtic defence. Those who raise them returned to Schmeichel’s goal, but a frankly horrible pass from the striker saw the move fail.

Hatate is replaced via club-exclusive machines for the final 15 minutes of the match.

JUST WHAT THEY DESERVE!
The Rangers double their advantage and is the first goal of the Rangers for the Defense Robin Propper. Surprising marking of Celtic in the corner that led to the goal.
Hagi had a lazy penalty header that was blocked on the line and fell to Take that he couldn’t fail. Ibrox recovers. The Rangers are on their way to win.
By Tum Balogun
Brendan Rodgers has seen enough. He makes a triple change just after the hour, with Idah, Valle and McCowan coming on for Kyogo, Taylor and Bernardo.
By Tum Balogun
The end comes from Jefte after the surprise of the first part. He threw himself on the Rangers boy after having expired it all over the line. A precaution.
By Tum Balogun
Cerny hits the post for the second time this afternoon and what moment can that represent? He won the ball unopposed with only Schmeichel to beat. the foot of the post.
I should have scored.

The rangers are warned. Kyogo produces a magical moment that turns out to have brought visitors to the same. But the attacker’s first run came too early and he went past the last defender when he made the pass.
It’s a real shame, for what he did after that special. The striker took it over his chest and hung it from Kelly and the net. What an objective it would have been.
By Tum Balogun
Celtic is already looking better. Kyogo and Maeda took the ball in complex positions, forcing Sterling to face the danger. Nio Goalmouth Action to communicate mostly for the time being, however, all Rodgers said he turned out to have worked on.

Rodgers resists the temptation to replace the breakup. It was the Rangers who got things going in the second quarter. Will they be able to continue?

The House team was dominant in terms of shooting. They will be disappointed that they only forced Schmeichel into a save.

There is a meeting between the skaters of the two groups when the mid -time whistle blew in Obrox. Raskin showed the third yellow card of the game, while McGregor escaped what his game time would have been.
Philippe Clement will be delighted by his side’s application in that first 45 minutes. His team have a deserved lead and look every bit the match of their opponents.
Celtic, meanwhile, wants to figure things out. As undeniable as that. They’ve been terrible for most of this part and they’re lucky to have one.
By tum balogun
Kelly makes a well-timed contribution late in halftime to keep the Rangers ahead at halftime. Celtic nonetheless controlled to unload the clever delivery and the ball fell in Kyoto on the edge of the box.
The Japanese star got a good connection on his half volley but Kelly stood up strong and palmed the effort away.
By TUM Balogun
The Brazilian makes Nicolas Kuhn of Celtic bleed after a misguided attack on the line judge. The defense of the Rangers was demolished by Kuhn but, perhaps unintentionally, he launched his arm in the direction of the attacker.
The medical staff is doing what is most productive to stop the bleeding. They will have time to paint well on him after the incoming loose kick.
By Tum Balogun
Two more minutes until the Rangers can return to the locker room. Maybe I would say there are two more minutes left before they get a well-deserved second. Sure, Celtic can’t be that bad after the break?
By tum Balogun
Carter-Vickers to Celtic’s rescue after Igamane played a devastating ball. The Rangers striker took a long time to find which of the three points he would locate on the counterattack and after opting for centre-back Diamonde, his pass was so close to locating him.
However, Carter-Vikers had other concepts and timing perfectly a sliding version that took the man out of the Rangers.
By Tum Balogun
The Celtic captain receives a really stupid card, in another demonstration of how nervous champions get. The Scottish foreigner is cautioned for holding his leg as Rangers attempted to take a quick free kick. Let’s see if this happens again.
By tum balogun
Brendan Rodgers will be furious. Many of its stars make mistakes. They are bullied by the Rangers and would possibly be lucky enough to be just a target.
By Tum Balogun
Brilliance in the center of the park opens up Celtic and it deserves to have been noted as the hosts double their lead. The striker discovered his teammate Cerny, who switched to an overlapping yilmaz when he deserved to have taken it inside and taken a risk.
That resolution at the end failed, however, Clément will be satisfied to see that his team enjoys an era of his own goal.
By Tum Balogun
Very good, let’s go back to action. Celtic has just begun to exercise its hosts in the last minutes. His play passes last a little more, his player’s passes are more coherent, but there is no true scoring opening.
Minutes ago, Maeda cut in from the left flank and tried to whip a shot into the bottom far corner but it was well wide of Kelly’s left post.
By Tum Balogun
Look who made the north for the great game in Ibrox. The most sensible scorer of the Premier League and former teammate of the iconic Celta Chris Sutton, Alan Shearer.
The Newcastle legend looks in good spirits. He’s been treated to a thrilling game so far.
By Tum Balogun
Rangers’ press has been exceptional so far in this game. Surely they can’t keep this up. This time it’s the fullback Yilmaz who picked it up in a deep position and drove towards the Celtic box.
Unfortunately for the defender, he was unable to catch his shot as smoothly as his teammate and Schmeichel was able to save his shot with ease.
By Tum Balogun
By Tum Balogun
Cerny almost doubles the progress of the Rangers with a distant shot that deviates in the Schmeichel cross. The Danish seemed impassive on this subject, but he was very close.
By Tum Balogun
The Rangers controlled a few minutes from the lens. Celtic still look damaging in attack, but Clement will be pleased with the way his team controlled their feelings after taking the lead.
It’s a perfect first ten minutes.
By Tum Balogun
WHAT ABOUT THAT!
I talked about Celtic’s elegance in the attack, but the rangers simply showed that they have a lot of abundance. The camera team intercepted a careless step in the center of the countryside and its rankin that went to the Celtic defense.
He returns it to Hagi, who leads down in Schmeichel. What a beginning. What a sound of Ibrox.
By Tum Balogun
The rangers responded and forced the Celtic defense in 3 blockages. They ask for a penalty, however, none of Bajami’s efforts attracted a Celtic hand. Despite their defense injury problems, they still run the risk.
By Tum Balogun
I was just about to say how well Rangers have started, how aggressive they have been in the first minute and out of nowhere Celtic get the ball forward with two passes and force a corner.
From the set, the rangers were fortunately to admit when Maeda failed to attach from an insa cross. It can be a long afternoon for home fans.

Celtic begins the action in Glasgow. We hope it is something intelligent.

Ibrox was silent to pay tribute to the lost lives in the Ibrox crisis in 1971. Impeccably observed at the entire level at the time of the 54th anniversary of the tragedy.
By Tum Balogun
The players take to the pitch in front of a packed Ibrox stadium. The Rangers and Clement can’t lose this game, never mind that wrong. You don’t envy the depleted look that Rodgers’ all-conquering Celtic side is about to assume.

This makes reading a delight for Rangers enthusiasts. As we mentioned, Celtic is at the top of the standings with 50 goals in 18 games. Then comes the Gers with 36, two more than the wonderful Aberdeen.
Punching a hole as big as this would be extraordinary, Rodgers’ Celtic has proven to be almost unstoppable forces over the years.

The visitors are under construction before this afternoon they have the option of taking a 17-point advantage over their rivals. From the look on their faces, I gather that this is precisely what they intend to do.

So, let’s take a deeper look at the injury issues plaguing the home side today. First-choice keeper Jack Butland misses out after being admitted to hospital with an internal bleed in his leg.
Elsewhere, skipper James Tavernier, Neraysho Kasanwirjo and John Souttar will also be unavailable. Leon Balogun – no relation – is a doubt.
For more on that scary Butland injury, take a look at the story below.

A service was held at the Ibrox Disaster Memorial ahead of today’s clash. Rangers boss Phillipe Clement, chief executive Patrick Stewart, Celtic chairman Peter Lawwell and many others paid tribute to the 66 football enthusiasts who tragically died on the pitch during a meeting between the two sides. in 1971.
Today marks 54 years since that awful tragedy.

The Belgian manager has been under tension this season for the performances of his team and, more importantly, his results. Clement designated Ibrox in October 2023 and since then has faced Celtic six times without victory.
It came close in the League Cup final, when his team suffered a dreadful 5-4 penalty shoot-out defeat after a thrilling 3-3 draw. Will today be the seventh lucky moment? You feel that this is how it will have to be.

Hello and welcome to Mail Sport’s look at the first Old Firma Derby of 2025, the 444th in history in fact. It’s fair to say that this hasn’t come yet for the Chamber team, who are coming off a defeat and a draw in their last two games.
Those effects saw Philippe Clement’s appearance drop 14th issues his Celtic to rivals in the name race. This lead is already impregnable, 17 cannot be corrected.
The Gers’ task is further complicated this afternoon due to the multiplication of injuries. We’ll talk about that shortly, but the highlight is that the Rangers have doubts to the core.
All this leads to the conclusion that it will be a Celtic victory for Cushty, no stranger things have happened yet and that the home team will accept as true with its functionality during the last League Cup defeat through Brendan Rodger’s team last month.
We’ll have everything from Glasgow before the 3pm kick-off, then updates from Ibrox when the action starts!
