Very good, how about that to impress?

The Rangers achieved 24 shots against Celtic, which is the same amount of their rivals in a championship match since the records began, while the Bhoys controlled 4 shots, the least amount they had made in a league match since they started The records.

This is even more remarkable since they had 39% of the ballArray.

Speaking to Sky Sports:

He also adds that he hopes his father, the legendary star Gheorge, who was in the stands, can come more after seeing this victory.

It’s a perfect start to the New Year for Rangers, and it should be enjoyed in style, but there’s a sobering truth lingering behind this.

The Rangers are still 11 points behind Celtic. For part of the season, the hole is not insurmountable, but they have to move on.

It’s hard to see where Celtic’s next loss came from, but at least Rangers denied them the league’s unbeaten record, and avenged their break in September.

By Luke Power

Well, we’re still catching our breath after that.

Surprisingly, this is the second time Brendan Rodgers has lost to the Rangers in 21 games. They won 16. Celtic had the upper hand in the old affairs of recent history.

Drink it in, Rangers fans. These moments don’t come around so often nowadays.

The massive Rangers win!

A big congratulations to Clément and his team who entered the Fit as underdogs, but ended up forming the champions in a 3-0 victory!

A surprise score and a surprise game. Celtic were terrible and Rangers took all the credit.

By tum balogun

You don’t want to waste your time, Phillippe.

Jefte receives a standing ovation from the fans as he is replaced by the young Fraser.

By tum Balogun

Terrifying moment at Ibrox as play is stopped after a Celtic player is hit by an object thrown from the stands. Engels fell, but fortunately gave up and play resumed.

By tum Balogun

Where does it come from?

Jefte shot at the left wing and his diverted center fell into the hands of the alternate Danilo, who quietly slid the ball in front of a helpless Schmeichel. It was a complicated afternoon for the Rodgers team, which was time in each and every departments.

By Tum Balogun

Brazilian striker Danilo replaces Bajrami for the final 10 or so minutes of the clash.

By Tum Balogun

Igamane falls after doing all hard work to overcome the defense of Celtic. The Rangers were back in the goal of Schmeichel, but a frankly terrible play of the striker caused the movement to stagnate.

By Tum Balogun

Hatate was replaced via Engles, the club record holder, for the final 15 minutes of the match.

Just what they deserve!

The Rangers doubled their leadership and is a first purpose for the Rangers for Defense Robin Propper. Celtic’s marking in the corner, which led to the purpose, shocking.

Hagi had a loose header from the penalty spot which was blocked on the line and fell to Propper who couldn’t miss it. Elibrox bounces. The Rangers are in contention for victory.

By tum balogun

Brendan Rodgers has seen enough. He makes a triple change just after the hour, with Idah, Valle and McCowan coming on for Kyogo, Taylor and Bernardo.

By TUM Balogun

The winger gets his revenge on Jefte after their clash in the first half. He lunged at the Rangers man after he had beaten him for pace down the line. SImple caution.

By Tum Balogun

Cerny hits the post for the second time this afternoon and how big of a moment could that be? He received the ball unopposed with only Schmeichel to beat. He shaped to curl it in the far corner but set it out too wide and saw his effort come back off the foot of the post.

I should have scored.

Rangers have been warned. Kyogo produces a moment of magic which looked to have brought the visitors level. But the forward’s initial run came too soon and he was beyond the last defender by the time the pass was made.

It’s a real shame, because what he did after that was special. The striker took it on his chest and hooked it over Kelly and into the net. What a goal that would have been.

By Tum Balogun

Largest Celtic Glance already. Kyogo and Maeda took the ball in complex positions, forcing Sterling to deal with the danger. Nio Goalmouth Action to communicate about everything so far, however, everything that Rodgers said turns out to have worked.

Rodgers resists the temptation to replace the break. It was the rangers who gave things in motion in the second period. Can they continue?

The House team was dominant in terms of shooting. They will be disappointed that they only forced Schmeichel into a save.

By Tum Balogun

There is a rapprochement between the captains of both groups when the referee’s whistle sounds at half-time in Obrox. Raskin receives the third yellow card of the match, while McGregor escapes what would have been his moment of the match.

Philippe Clement will be very happy for the application of his team in those first forty -five minutes. His team has a deserved advantage and is fixed throughout the state of his opponents.

Celtic, meanwhile, want to sort things out. As undeniable as that. They have been terrible for most of this part and are lucky to have one.

By Tum Balogun

Kelly makes a timely contribution right at the end of the half to preserve Rangers’ lead at the break. Celtic finally managed to get a delivery right and the ball fell to Kyoto on the edge of the box.

The Japanese star had an intelligent connection with her half volley, but Kelly surrendered strongly and diverted the effort.

By Tum Balogun

The Brazilian draws the blood of Celtic’s Nicolas Kuhn after an actually authorized tackle right in front of the touch judge. The Rangers defender was tackled by Kuhn but, perhaps involuntarily, threw his arm towards the attacker.

The medical staff are doing their best to stem the flow of blood. They’ll have time to work on him properly after the incoming free kick.

By Tum Balogun

Two more minutes for the Rangers to return to the locker room. Perhaps I would say that there are two more minutes to go before they get a well-deserved second. Of course, Celtic can’t be so bad after the break?

By Tum Balogun

Carter-Vickers to the rescue of Celtic after Igamane played with a devastating bullet. The Rangers striker took a lot in which of the 3 characteristics would locate the counterattack and after having opted for the central rhombus, his pass was very close to locating him.

Carter-Vikers, however, had other concepts and perfectly synchronized a slide that eliminated the man from the Rangers.

By Tum Balogun

The Celtic skipper gets a really stupid booking, in another demonstration of how rattled the champions are. The Scotland international is cautioned for sticking a leg out as Rangers tried to take a quick free kick. Let’s see if that comes back to haunt him.

By tum Balogun

Brendan Rodgers will be furious. Too many of his stars make mistakes. They are intimidated through the Rangers and maybe they are lucky to be alone.

By TUM Balogun

Some brilliance in the centre of the park opens Celtic up and should have seen the hosts double their advantage. The goalscorer found his team-mate Cerny, who passed to an overlapping Yilmaz when he really should have taken it inside and tried his luck.

That move ultimately backfired, but Clement will be pleased to see his team enjoy an era away from their own goal.

By tum Balogun

Alright, back to the action. Celtic have just started to exert themselves on their hosts in the last few minutes. Their passages of play are lasting that little bit longer, the passes are reaching their man on a more consistent basis but there hasn’t been a real goalscoring opening just yet.

A few minutes ago, Maeda intervened from the left flank and tried to fire a shot into the far back corner, but it went wide of Kelly’s left post.

By Tum Balogun

Look who made the North for the big game in Ibrox. The Premier League’s most sensible scorer and former teammate of iconic Celtic Chris Sutton, Alan Shearer.

The Newcastle legend looks in good spirits. He’s been treated to a thrilling game so far.

By Tum Balogun

Rangers’ press has been exceptional so far in this game. Surely they can’t keep this up. This time it’s the fullback Yilmaz who picked it up in a deep position and drove towards the Celtic box.

Unfortunately for the defender, he couldn’t catch his strike as sweetly as his team-mate and his shot was rather easy for Schmeichel to save.

By Tum Balogun

By Tum Balogun

Cerny nearly doubles Rangers’ lead with a long range effort that was deflected onto Schmeichel’s crossbar. The Dane looked pretty chill about it but that was very close.

By Tum Balogun

The Rangers controlled some manic minutes very well from the purpose. Celtic continues to look damaging in attack, however, Clement will be pleased with how he dealt with his feelings after taking the lead.

It’s been the perfect first 10 or so minutes.

By tum Balogun

And so!

I talked about Celtic’s class in attack but Rangers just showed they’ve got plenty in abundance. The home side intercept a sloppy pass across the midfield and its Raskin who drives towards the Celtic defence.

He returns it to Hagi, who drives to Schmeichel. What an Ibrox sound.

By Tum Balogun

The Rangers respond and force the Celtic defense to 3 blocks. They are calling for a penalty, but none of Bajrami’s efforts caught a Celtic handball. Despite their defensive injuries, they still pose a risk. It’s proof.

By Tum Balogun

I was just about to say how well Rangers have started, how aggressive they have been in the first minute and out of nowhere Celtic get the ball forward with two passes and force a corner.

On the kick, the Rangers thankfully conceded when Maeda couldn’t be attributed to a home snap. The afternoon can be long for local fans.

By Tum Balogun

Celtic begins the action in Glasgow. We hope it is something intelligent.

By Tum Balogun

Ibrox was silent by paying tribute to lost lives, Ibrox’s crisis in 1971. Impeccably observed throughout the level in the case of the 54th anniversary of the tragedy.

By Tum Balogun

The players are out onto the pitch in front of a packed Ibrox stadium. Rangers and Clement can ill afford to lose this game, never mind badly. You don’t envy the depleted side that is about to take on Rodgers’ all-conquering Celtic side.

There is a long time left for the action to reach Ibrox. We’ve got some pictures of Jack Butland’s Liam Kelly warming up for the clash. It’s a big day for the 28-year-old, who is making his second league appearance of the season.

By Tum Balogun

Philippe Clement, Head of Rangers, Sky Sports:

This makes many enthusiasts of the reading of the Rangers. As we said, Celtic is at the top of the ranking with 50 numbers in 18 games. Then comes the Gers with 36, two more than Aberdeen’s Wonder Package.

Filling a void as gigantic as it is extraordinary, the Celtic Rodgers have proven to be almost unstoppable forces over the years.

By tum balogun

They are in the front of the construction of this afternoon’s game with the option of taking 17 problems away from their rivals. From the look on all their faces, I think they intend to do exactly that.

So let’s take a closer look at the problems of injuries that affect the local team today. The titular goalkeeper Jack Butland is absent after being admitted to the hospital with an internal hemorrhage in his leg.

On the other hand, Captain James Tavernier, Nerayysho Kasanwirjo and John Souttar will not be available either. Leon Balogun – No appointments – It’s a doubt.

For more on that scary Butland injury, take a look at the story below.

A service was held at the Ibrox Disaster Memorial before today’s clash. The director of the Rangers, Phillipe Clement, executive leader Patrick Stewart, the president of Celtic, Peter Lawwell, and many others paid tribute to the 66 football enthusiasts who died tragically on the court during a meeting between both sides. in 1971.

Today marks 54 years since that awful tragedy.

The Belgian manager has been under strain this season for his team’s performances and, more importantly, their results. Clement appointed Ibrox in October 2023 and since then he has faced Celtic six times without a win.

He neared the last of the League Cup, when his team suffered a terrifying defeat in the aftermath 5-4 after a thrilling 3-3 draw. Will today be the seventh lucky time? You get the impression that this deserves to be the case.

Here are some photos of the local stars arriving at Ibrox for this afternoon’s match. I see smiles! Obviously, some players are relishing the opportunity to surprise some today.

By Tum Balogun

Hello and welcome to Mail Sport’s coverage of the first Old Firm derby of 2025, the 444th in history, in fact. It’s fair to say that this one hasn’t arrived at the best time for the home side, who are coming off a defeat and a draw in their last two matches.

Those results saw Philippe Clement’s side fall 14 points behind their arch-rivals Celtic in the title race. That lead already feels unassailable, 17 cannot be countenanced.

The Gers’ task is made even more complicated this afternoon by the multiplication of injuries. We’ll get to that shortly, however, the focus is that the Rangers are doubting their core.

All this leads to the conclusion that it will be a cushty Celtic victory, yet more strange things have happened and the local team will gain confidence in its functionality the defeat in the ultimate of the League Cup Faced with the Brendan Rodger team last month.

We’ll have everything from Glasgow before the start of 3pm. m. , then Ibrox will update when the action starts!
