Well, how about impressive?

Rangers had 24 shots against Celtic, which is the most their rivals have faced in a league game since records began, while The Bhoys only managed four shots, the least they have had in a league match since records began.

Not bad of the Rangers. Es even more remarkable that they had 39% of the ball. . .

Talking to Sky Sports:

He also adds that he hopes his father, legendary star Gheorge, who was in the stands, can come more often after seeing this win.

Chris Sutton, co-host of Mail Sport’s podcast It’s All On!, shared his quick reaction to the X.

By Luke Power

It’s the best start to the new year for the Rangers and deserves to be enjoyed in style, but there’s a sobering fact.

Rangers are still 11 behind Celtic. At some point in the season, the hole is not insurmountable, but they have to move on.

It’s hard to see where Celtic’s next defeat is coming from, but at least Rangers have denied them invincibility this league campaign – and got revenge for their equivalent drubbing in September.

By Luke Power

Well, we’re still catching our breath from that.

Surprisingly, this is the second time Brendan Rodgers loses against the rangers in 21 games. He won 16. Celtic had the advantage in the Old Firm in recent history.

Drink it, Rangers fans. These moments don’t take place, so those days.

MASSIVE RANGERS WIN!!

A huge congratulations to Clement and his team, who came into form as assists, but ended up teaching the champions with a 3-0 victory!

A surprise score and a surprise game. Terrible Celtic and Rangers took full advantage.

By TUM Balogun

You don’t want to waste time, Phillippe. You are at 3 zeros! He elected to make even more adjustments before the final whistle.

By Tum Balogun

Jefte gets his ovation from the enthusiasts as he is replaced by the young Fraser.

By tum balogun

Terrient moment in Ibrox when the game stops after a Celtic player is beaten by an object released from the stands. Engels fell, but fortunately now he has risen and the game has resumed.

By TUM Balogun

WHERE DID THIS COME FROM?!

Jefte triggers the left flank and his diverted center falls towards the substitute Danilo, who quietly slid the ball beyond a helpless Schmeichel. It was an afternoon for the Rodgers side, which was fundamental in each and every departments.

By Tum Balogun

Brazilian striker Danilo replaces Bajrami for the last 10 minutes of the confrontation.

By Tum Balogun

Igamane lets himself down after doing all the hard work to get past the Celtic defence. Rangers were in again on Schmeichel’s goal but a frankly awful attempted pass from the striker saw the move break down.

By tum balogun

Hatate is replaced through the record of clubs signing Engles during the last 15 minutes of the game.

Just what they deserve!

Rangers double their lead and it’s a first Rangers goal for the defender Robin Propper. Celtic’s marking from the corner which led to the goal was shocking.

Hagi had a weak header from the penalty spot that was blocked over the line and fell to Propper who couldn’t miss. Ibrox bounces. The Rangers are in contention for the win.

By Tum Balogun

Brendan Rodgers has noticed enough. He made a triple substitution after the hour mark, with Idah, Valle and McCowan coming on for Kyogo, Taylor and Bernardo.

By Tum Balogun

The end comes from Jefte after its shock in the first half. He threw the type of the rangers after hitting him all the way.

By Tum Balogun

Cerny hits the post for the second time this afternoon and how big of a moment could that be? He received the ball unopposed with only Schmeichel to beat. He shaped to curl it in the far corner but set it out too wide and saw his effort come back off the foot of the post.

Should have scored.

The Rangers have been warned. Kyogo produced a magical moment that seemed to have brought the visitors’ point. But the attacker’s opening run came too early and he went past the last defender when he made the pass.

It’s a real shame, because what he did after that was special. The striker took it on his chest and hooked it over Kelly and into the net. What a goal that would have been.

By tum Balogun

Celtic is already looking better. Kyogo and Maeda have hit the ball in complex positions, requiring Sterling to deal with danger. Nio Goalmouth’s action to talk about still, whatever, anyone Rodgers said looks at having worked a gift.

Rodgers resists the urge to make changes at the break. It’s Rangers who kick things off in the second period. Can they keep it going?

It was something dominant for the home team in terms of shots. They will be disappointed that they forced Schmeichel to back up.

There is a rapprochement between the skippers of the two groups whilst the whistle of the referee at halftime raises Obrox. Raskin receives the 3rd yellow card from the match, whilst McGregor escapes what would have been his moment in the match.

Philippe Clement will be delighted by his side’s application in that first 45 minutes. His team have a deserved lead and look every bit the match of their opponents.

Celtic, meanwhile, will have to fix it. As undeniable as that. They were terrible for most of this part and are lucky to have one.

By Tum Balogun

Kelly makes a timely contribution right at the end of the half to preserve Rangers’ lead at the break. Celtic finally managed to get a delivery right and the ball fell to Kyoto on the edge of the box.

The Japanese star received a smart connection on her half-volley, however, Kelly was left hard and parried the effort away.

By Tum Balogun

The Brazilian draws blood from Celtic’s Nicolas Kuhn after a really scruffy tackle right in front of the linesman. The Rangers defender was turned inside out by Kuhn but, perhaps involuntarily, flung his arm in the direction of the attacker.

The medical staff are doing their best to stem the flow of blood. They’ll have time to work on him properly after the incoming free kick.

By Tum Balogun

Two more minutes before the Rangers can take the lead to the locker room. Maybe I’m saying it’s two more minutes for them to find a well-deserved second. Surely Celtic can’t be so bad after the break?

By Tum Balogun

Carter-Vickers to Celtic’s rescue after Igamane played a devastating ball. The Rangers striker took a long time to find which of the 3 characteristics he would locate at halftime and after opting for the midfielder Diamonde, his pass was so close to locating him.

Carter-Vikers, but they had concepts and chronometry perfectly a slide slide that took the Rangers guy off.

By tum balogun

The Celtic skipper gets a really stupid booking, in another demonstration of how rattled the champions are. The Scotland international is cautioned for sticking a leg out as Rangers tried to take a quick free kick. Let’s see if that comes back to haunt him.

By tum balogun

Brendan Rodgers will be furious. Too many of his stars make mistakes. They are being intimidated through the Rangers and perhaps they are lucky to obtain only one goal.

By Tum Balogun

A brilliance in the middle of the park opens Celtic up and deserves to have noticed the hosts doubling their lead. The striker discovered his teammate Cerny, who went to an overlapping yilmaz when he deserved to have taken it inside and taken a risk.

That play ultimately backfired, but Clement will be pleased to see his team enjoy an era away from their own goal.

By tum balogun

Alright, let’s get back to the action. Celtic have just started to practice their hosts in the final minutes. His passages of play last a little longer, the passes hit his guy more consistently, but there is no genuine scoring opening.

A few minutes ago, Maeda cut the left flank and tried to whip a farther corner, but very partial Kelly’s left post.

By Tum Balogun

Look who’s made the trip up north for the massive game at Ibrox. The Premier League’s all-time top scorer and former team-mate of Celtic iconic Chris Sutton, Alan Shearer.

The Newcastle legend seems to be in good spirits. He’s had an exciting game so far.

By Tum Balogun

Rangers’ press has been exceptional so far in this game. Surely they can’t keep this up. This time it’s the fullback Yilmaz who picked it up in a deep position and drove towards the Celtic box.

Unfortunately for the defender, he couldn’t catch his shot as smoothly as his teammate and Schmeichel was able to save his shot with ease.

By Tum Balogun

By tum balogun

Cerny nearly doubles the Rangers’ advance with a long-range shot that deflects off Schmeichel’s cross-post post. The Dane seemed impassive on this issue, but he was very close.

By tum balogun

The Rangers dealt well with some maniacal minutes of the goal. Celtic continue to look dangerous in attack, but Clement will be pleased with the way his team handled their feelings after taking the lead.

It’s been the perfect first 10 or so minutes.

By Tum Balogun

WHAT ABOUT THAT!

I talked about Celtic’s class in attack but Rangers just showed they’ve got plenty in abundance. The home side intercept a sloppy pass across the midfield and its Raskin who drives towards the Celtic defence.

He flicks it back to Hagi who arrows a low drive past Schmeichel. What a start. What a noise from Ibrox.

By tum Balogun

The Rangers respond and force the Celtic defense into 3 blocks. They call for a penalty, but none of Bajrami’s efforts have drawn Celtic’s hand. Despite their injury misfortunes on defense, they still carry a risk up front. It’s a test.

By Tum Balogun

I’m about to say how well Rangers started, how competitive they were from the first minute and, out of nowhere, Celtic put the ball forward with two passes and forced a corner.

On the set piece, the Rangers fortunately conceded when Maeda failed to connect with a cross that went in. The afternoon can be long for local fans.

By Tum Balogun

Celtic kicks off the action in Glasgow. We hope it will be a smart thing to do.

Ibrox is silent about the performance of the life lost in the Ibrox crisis in 1971. Implicitly observed in the stadium on the 54th anniversary of the tragedy.

By Tum Balogun

The players are on the field in front of a packed Ibrox stadium. Rangers and Clement cannot lose this match, much less. You don’t envy the exhausted team that is about to face the Celtic side that Rodgers contains.

There’s not long left now until the action gets under at Ibrox. We’ve got a few pictures of Liam Kelly, in for Jack Butland, warming up for the clash. It’s a big day for the 28-year-old, who makes his second league appearance of the season.

Philippe Clement, Head of Rangers, Sky Sports:

It doesn’t make for pleasant reading Rangers fans. As we’ve mentioned, Celtic sit atop the standings with 50 points from 18 matches. Next come the Gers with 36, two more than the surprise package Aberdeen.

Recognizing a hole, as it would be extraordinary, Rodgers’ Celtic groups have proved to be nearly unstoppable forces over the years.

By tum Balogun

They are at the forefront of the construction of this afternoon’s game with the option of removing 17 problems from their rivals. From the looks on all their faces, I think they intend to do exactly that.

So let’s take a closer look at the injury issues plaguing the House team today. Top choice goalkeeper Jack Butland is out after being admitted to hospital with internal bleeding in his leg.

Elsewhere, captain James Tavernier, Nerayysho Kasanwirjo and John Souttar will also be missing. Leon Balogun, without quotes, is a doubt.

To learn more about this terrifying Butland injury, take a look at the story below.

Before today’s clash a service was carried out at the Ibrox Disaster Memorial. The Rangers coach Phillipe Clement, Executive Director Patrick Stewart, the president of Celtic, Peter Lawwell, and more have paid tribute to the 66 football enthusiasts who died tragically on the court that left a meeting between the two in 1971.

Today marks 54 years since that awful tragedy.

The Belgian coach has been under pressure this season for the performances of his team and, most importantly, for his results. Clement arrived in Ibrox in October 2023 and since then he has faced Celtic six times without winning.

He was brought closer to the Ultimate League Cup when his team suffered an agonizing 5-4 shot loss after a 3-3 draw. Will it be the seventh time lucky today? You have the impression that it will have to be.

Here you have some photos of the space stars arriving at Ibrox for this afternoon’s game. I see smiles! Obviously, some of the players enjoy the opportunity to surprise some today.

Hello and welcome to the game policy of the First Derbi Old Firm of 2025, the 444º of History, in fact. It is fair to say that it did not arrive on time for the local team, which comes from a defeat and a draw in its last two games.

These effects saw Philippe Clemente’s team falling 14th to cast their Celtic on the Rivaux goal in the name race. This advance is already impregnable, 17 cannot be corrected.

The Gers’ task is made all the harder this afternoon on account of their spate of injuries. We’ll get into it shortly but the cliff note is that Rangers are doubt to their bare bones.

All of this leads to the conclusion that it will be a Celtic victory, however, Stranger Things has happened and the house skin will gain confidence from its functionality in the final League Cup defeat through Brendan Rodger’s skin last month.

We’ll have all the news from Glasgow ahead of the 3pm kick-off and then updates from Ibrox when the action gets underway!
