Okay, how about that for awesome?
Rangers had 24 shots against Celtic, which is the most their rivals have faced in a league game since records began, while The Bhoys only managed four shots, the least they have had in a league match since records began.
Not bad going from Rangers. It’s even more remarkable considering they only had 39 per cent of the ball…

Speaking to Sky Sports:
He also adds that he hopes his father, the legendary star Gheorge, who was in the stands, can come more after seeing this victory.

Chris Sutton, co -supplier of the Mail Sport podcast ¡it’s all enging off! He shared his rapid reaction in X.

It’s the best start to the new year for the Rangers and deserves to be enjoyed in style, but there’s a sobering fact.
The Rangers are still 11 Celtic problems. In part of the season, the hole is not unsurpassed, but they have to move on.
It’s hard to see where Celtic’s next defeat is coming from, but at least Rangers have denied them invincibility this league campaign – and got revenge for their equivalent drubbing in September.
By Luke Power
Well, we’re still catching our breath from that one.
Surprisingly, this is the second time Brendan Rodgers has lost to the Rangers in 21 games. They won 16. Celtic had the advantage in the Old Firm in recent history.
Drink it up, Rangers fans. These moments don’t come, so those days.

MASSIVE RANGERS WIN!!
Many congratulations to Clement and his team, who came to the game as attendees and ended up educating the champions in a 3-0 victory!
A surprise score and a surprise game. Celtic lousy and Rangers took full advantage.
By Tum Balogun
You don’t need to waste time, Phillippe. You’re three nil up! He’s opted to make even more changes before the final whistle. Hagi, Igamane and Raskin depart for Cortes, Barron and Dessers.

Jephthah gets his ovation from enthusiasts as he is replaced through the young Fraser.

Moment of fear in Ibrox, while the game is interrupted after a Celtic player is going through an object thrown from the stands. Engels fell, but fortunately now it has higher and the game has resumed.

Where does it come from?!
Jefte bombed down the left wing and his deflected cross fell to replacement Danilo, who calmly slid the ball in front of a helpless Schmeichel. It was an afternoon for Rodgers’ team, who were on point in every department.

Brazilian striker Danilo replaces Bajrami for the final 10 or so minutes of the clash.
By Tum Balogun
Igamane falls after running hard to get past the Celtic defense. Those who raise them returned to Schmeichel’s goal, but a frankly horrible pass from the striker saw the move fail.
By Tum Balogun
Hatate is replaced by club-record signing Engles for the last 15 minutes of the game.

JUST WHAT THEY DESERVE!
Rangers double their lead and it’s a first Rangers goal for the defender Robin Propper. Celtic’s marking from the corner which led to the goal was shocking.
Hagi had a loose header from the penalty spot that was blocked on the line and crossed into Propper, who made no mistake. Ibrox rebounds. The Rangers are in the race for victory.
By Tum Balogun
Brendan Rodgers has already realized enough. He made a triple substitution just past the hour mark, with Idah, Valle and McCowan replacing Kyogo, Taylor and Bernardo.
By Tum Balogun
The winger gets his revenge on Jefte after their clash in the first half. He lunged at the Rangers man after he had beaten him for pace down the line. SImple caution.
By Tum Balogun
Cerny plays the post for the second time this afternoon and what time can this represent? He won the ball without opposition to Schmeichel to beat. He set out to roll it in the furthest corner, but placed it too open and saw his effort to return to the foot of the post.
I should have scored.

The Rangers have been notified. Kyogo produces a moment of magic that turns out to have taken visitors to the terms of points. But the first race of the striker arrived here too soon and he beyond the last defender when he made the pass.
It’s a real shame, because what he did after that special. The attacker took it to his chest and hooked it to Kelly and the net. What a goal that would have been.
By Tum Balogun
Celtic already look better. Kyogo and Maeda have got on the ball in advanced positions, requiring Sterling to deal with the danger. Nio goalmouth action to speak of just yet but whatever Rodgers said looks to have worked a treat.

Rodgers resists the temptation to make adjustments at half-time. It was the Rangers who got the ball rolling in the period. Can they continue?

The home team was dominant in terms of shots. They will be disappointed to have forced Schmeichel to just one stop.

There is a rapprochement between the skippers of the two groups, as the referee’s whistle at half-time blows in Obrox. Raskin earned the third yellow card of the match, while McGregor escaped what would have been his moment of the match.
Philippe Clément will be very happy with his team’s candidacy during those first forty-five minutes. His team has a well-deserved advance and is absolutely equal to its opponents.
Celtic, meanwhile, wants to solve things. As undeniable as that. They have been terrible for most of this part and are lucky enough to have one.
By Tum Balogun
Kelly makes a well -timed contribution at the end of part time to maintain the progress of the rangers at rest. Celtic despite any controlled to download smart delivery and the ball fell in Kyoto on the edge of the box.
The Japanese star received a smart connection on his half-volley, but Kelly gave up and turned the attempt away.
By Tum Balogun
The Brazilian draws blood from Celtic’s Nicolas Kuhn after a really scruffy tackle right in front of the linesman. The Rangers defender was turned inside out by Kuhn but, perhaps involuntarily, flung his arm in the direction of the attacker.
Medical staff is doing everything possible to stop bleeding. They will have time to study it after loose kick.
By Tum Balogun
Two more minutes until Rangers can take a lead back to the dressing room. Maybe I should be saying it’s two more minutes for them to find a deserved second. Surely Celtic can’t be this bad after the break?
By tum Balogun
Carter-Vickers to Celtic’s rescue after Igamane played through a devastating ball. The Rangers striker took a long time to find which of the 3 characteristics he would locate on the counterattack and after opting for the central defender Diamonde, his pass was so close to locating him. .
Carter-Vikers, though had other ideas and perfectly timed a slide tackle that disposed the Rangers man.
By Tum Balogun
The Celtic patron gets a stupid reserve, in some other demonstration of how shaken champions are. Scotland foreigner warned for sticking out a leg while Rangers tried to take a quick loose kick. Let’s see if that happens again.
By TUM Balogun
Brendan Rodgers will be furious. Many of his stars make mistakes. They feel intimidated by the Rangers and maybe they are lucky to be just a goal away.
By tum Balogun
A sure shine in the center of the park opened Celtic and deserved the home side to double their lead. The striker discovered his teammate Cerny, who made a pass to Yilmaz that overlapped when he deserved to have put it inside and took his luck.
The play failed, but Clement will be satisfied to see his team enjoy an era away from his own goal.
By Tum Balogun
Alright, back to the action. Celtic have just started to exert themselves on their hosts in the last few minutes. Their passages of play are lasting that little bit longer, the passes are reaching their man on a more consistent basis but there hasn’t been a real goalscoring opening just yet.
A few minutes ago, Maeda cut the left flank and tried to shoot in the most remote corner, but he was diverted from Kelly’s left post.
By Tum Balogun
Look who’s made the trip up north for the massive game at Ibrox. The Premier League’s all-time top scorer and former team-mate of Celtic iconic Chris Sutton, Alan Shearer.
The Newcastle legend looks in good spirits. He’s been treated to a thrilling game so far.
By tum Balogun
Rangers’ press has been exceptional so far in this game. Surely they can’t keep this up. This time it’s the fullback Yilmaz who picked it up in a deep position and drove towards the Celtic box.
Unfortunately for the defender, he couldn’t catch his strike as sweetly as his team-mate and his shot was rather easy for Schmeichel to save.

Cerny was about to double the advantage of the Rangers with a long distance shot diverted in the Schmeichel crossbar. The Danish seemed calm, but he was very close.
By Tum Balogun
The Rangers controlled some manic minutes from the good purpose. Celtic continue to look damaging in attack, however, Clement will be pleased with the way his looks treated his feelings after taking the lead.
They are the best first ten minutes.
By Tum Balogun
WHAT ABOUT THAT!
I have talked about the elegance of Celtic in attack, but the Rangers have just demonstrated that they have a lot of elegance. The local team intercepts a careless walk through the center of the field and is Raskin who goes towards the defense of Celtic.
He sends it to Hagi, who tricks Schmeichel with a slam to the ground. In addition to the beginning. What a noise from Ibrox.
By TUM Balogun
The Rangers respond and force the Celtic defense to 3 blocks. They are calling for a penalty, but none of Bajrami’s efforts caught a Celtic handball. Despite their defensive injuries, they still pose a risk. It’s proof.
By TUM Balogun
I about to say how well Rangers started, how competitive they were from the first minute and, out of nowhere, Celtic moved the ball ahead with two passes and forced a corner.
On the kick, fortunately the Rangers conceded when Maeda failed to connect with a cross from the house. The afternoon can be long for the home fans.

Celtic starts the action in Glasgow. Hopefully it is something intelligent.

Ibrox falls silent to pay their respect to the lives lost in the Ibrox Disaster in 1971. Impeccably observed by all in the stadium on the 54th anniversary of the tragedy.

The players are on the field in front of a full Ibrox stadium. The mothers and the clement cannot lose this match, much less seriously. You don’t envy the depleted team that is about to face Rodgers’ Celtic conquest team.

It doesn’t make for pleasant reading Rangers fans. As we’ve mentioned, Celtic sit atop the standings with 50 points from 18 matches. Next come the Gers with 36, two more than the surprise package Aberdeen.
Closing a gap as large as this one would be extraordinary, Rodgers’ Celtic teams have proved to be almost unstoppable forces over the years.

The visitors are in preparation for this afternoon’s game with the option of taking a 17-point lead over their rivals. From what they see on their faces, I think that’s precisely what they intend to do.

So let’s take a closer look at the problems of injuries that affect the camera team today. The goalkeeper of the top choice, Jack Butland, is after after being admitted to the hospital with internal hemorrhage in the leg.
On the other hand, skipper James Tavernier, Neraysho Kasanwirjo and John Souttar will also be available. Leon Balogun – No relation – is a doubt.
To be informed more about this terrifying but earthly injury, take a look at the story below.

A service has been held at the Ibrox Disaster Memorial ahead of today’s clash. Rangers manager Phillipe Clement, Chief Executive Office Patrick Stewart, Celtic Chairman Peter Lawwell and many more paid their respects to the 66 football fans who tragically died at the ground in a meeting between the two sides in 1971.
Today marks years since this horrible tragedy.

The Belgian boss has come under pressure this term for his team’s performances and, more importantly, their results. Clement was appointed at Ibrox in October 2023 and since then he has faced Celtic six times without victory.
He came here in the League Cup final, when his team suffered an agonizing 5-4 penalty defeat after a thrilling 3-3 draw. Will today be the seventh lucky time? You feel like this will have to be the case.

Hello and welcome to Mail Sport’s look at the first Old Firma Derby of 2025, the 444th in history in fact. It’s fair to say that this hasn’t come yet for the Chamber team, who are coming off a defeat and a draw in their last two games.
Those results saw Philippe Clement’s side fall 14 points behind their arch-rivals Celtic in the title race. That lead already feels unassailable, 17 cannot be countenanced.
The Gers’ task is made even more complicated this afternoon through the injury building. We’ll get to that shortly, however, the back line is that the Rangers are doubting their bones.
It all leads to the conclusion that this will be a comfortable Celtic win but stranger things have happened and the home side will take confidence from their performance in the League Cup final defeat by Brendan Rodger’s side last month.
We’ll have all the news from Glasgow ahead of the 3pm kick-off and then updates from Ibrox when the action gets underway!
