Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze was an inspiration on a day when Villarreal midfielder Dani Parejo scored the decisive goal in the 2–1 home win over former Valencia to take his team to the most sensible in La Liga on Sunday.

Parejo, whom the captain of Valencia moved to Villarreal in August claiming that he had been expelled, celebrated his purpose a little after his shot diverted Mouctar Diakhaby into the net in the 69th minute.
