Read Jordan Henderson’s farewell letter to Dejan Lovren that left the former Liverpool star lost by his words

The Croatian left Anfield this summer after a six-year stint this summer with Zenit St Petersburg after the Reds won the Premier League title.

This happened 12 months after Jurgen Klopp lifted the Champions League.

And the Liverpool captain once proved why he is respectable and, through many, with a moving farewell gift and a letter to the defender.

Lovren revealed on his social media accounts that he had won a reproduction of the Premier League trophy recorded with the call from the team player.

And he admitted on his Instagram account how humiliated he felt with the gesture.

Lovren wrote: “I am speechless Captain . . . Thanks again. “

Henderson’s letter on Liverpool’s letterhead read: “Quit, it’s highly unlikely that I’ll think of Liverpool without you being here with us and, to be fair, you haven’t gone down, but you won’t be back.

“You have been a figure on our team and one of the greatest influences in helping us get to where we are now, winners and champions.

“I hope you realize that in the game you are considered one of the most productive in the world in what you do. For us and for Croatia, you instilled the mindset in the dressing room to keep fighting.

“Even at times when it was complicated for you, you were always there for everyone. I’ll never make the help you gave me and the difference you made in helping lead this team.

“You have been a ‘captain’ yourself, you never needed a bracelet, we all appreciate it. Off the pitch, you were one of the most important characters I shared a wardrobe with.

“All players, no matter where they come from in the world or their situation, can simply contact you. It’s a human quality.

“I miss you already, although I hope you go back to Melwood and are in the middle of the jokes and discussion. I hope you realize how much we appreciate what you have given for this club and for us as a team.

“I can’t thank you too much and they will consider me if you or your amazing circle of relatives want anything.

“Good for the future, but you should know that you still have brothers in Liverpool if you ever love us. It’s YNWA. Hendo. “

Lovren joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2014 and played 131 times on the most sensible flight for the Merseyside team.

Meanwhile, Henderson is among the favorites for the PFA Player of the Year award, winning only through Kevin De Bruyne.

And he showed his elegance when it was announced by congratulating the Manchester City playmaker.

He said: “Congratulations to Kevin de Bruyne on the PFA Player of the Year award. Class action on and off the court. Well deserved.
