Real Madrid 3-0 Mallorca summary: score, goals, highlights | Spanish Super Cup 2025

A fully deserved victory for Real Madrid against a Mallorca team that never threatened a comeback after falling behind.

Carlo Ancelotti’s appearance was broadcast to start quickly in the first half, testing Greif in several events without creating transparent cutting possibilities.

Mallorca grew into the game in the first half and ended up having the two best chances, despite rarely being on the offensive. Larin was the guilty party, heading wide when unmarked and lifting the ball over the ball from a good position on the edge of the box.

Madrid were in total control in the second half, especially after Bellingham forced the ball over the line just after the hour mark after Rodrygo had headed off the post. After that, there was never any doubt, even if Mallorca managed to stay in the game.

The islanders rarely looked like a score and a Valjent purpose and beat from Rodrygo, either in a time of injury, confident in the whites ended with style.

We will leave it there for the moment. Thanks for accompanying me for the victory of Real Madrid. Will they oppose Barcelona on Sunday? Be sure to come and follow this game live like the United States, the structure will begin about 90 minutes before the start, which is at 2:00 p. m. AND.

On Sunday, Real Madrid will get the chance to draw level with Barcelona in terms of Spanish Super Cup victories. As it stands, the Catalans have won the competition a record 14 times, closely followed by Los Blancos on 14.

This is the last thing everyone wanted, adding the Spanish Football Federation (let’s be honest). The 2025 Spanish Super Cup Ultimate will be a classic, with Real Madrid taking on Barcelona at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah on Sunday, January 12.

There were some disagreements, we will say, after the third goal of Real Madrid, with the protagonists of Maffeo, Vázquez and Raúl Asencio. oh, and Vinicius, who had to worry from the bank. It turns out that now everything is gaseous.

Real Madrid end with development! They will face Barcelona the latest of the Spanish Super Cup of 2025.

Vázquez curls in a beautiful cross of the right wing and Rodrygo has to push him to the line to do it 3-0!

The categorical of Real Madrid!

It is such a brilliant goal! Mbappé seeks to play one and two with Brahim, whose slide pass is almost perfect. Valjent tries to cut it, but only manages to collect the ball in front of Greif and on his own network.

And that’s all!

Mojica gets round the outside of Vázquez but fires a cross straight into the hands of Courtois.

It is a decent moment for Mallorca to check an equalizer, but they look dead.

Six minutes of injuries to play.

Mallorca throws a upper cross in the box, which, Cortés, affirms indisputable. This is penetrating for the Jagoba Artasate team.

Vinicius, which only had one effect in the last 10 to 15 minutes, is replaced through Brahim Díaz.

A decent Camavonga effort highlights a Greif’s smart stop, but in reality, it is a bit. The midfielder had several pass options, which would have made a moment more likely of goal.

Mbappé seems transparent today but he is not there. He enters a decent position in the infield, but is softly dispossessed, allows Mallorca to review to set up a type of attack.

I don’t see any sign of a Mallorca purpose at the moment (the word no Real Madrid fan should read).

Mallorca need to get a shift on. 10 minutes to go. Passes like that one from Rodríguez, which sails over Mojica’s head and out of play, won’t help.

Here they are! Vinicius shows wonderful strength to Valjent and plays the ball to Mbappe, whose effort from a tight angle is on the beach of the Greif Post.

A quick-fire flurry from Madrid, as Bellingham rolls the ball into Rodrygo, whose low strike is well kept out by Greif.

That was brilliant from Vinicius…until the shot! He weaves his way between Maffeo and Mascarell and decides to shoot instead of pass from a tight angle. Wrong decision as his effort flies well wide.

Ceballos in Valverde.

Camavong joined Bellingham in the electronic book after illegally preventing a primary attack.

Huge cheers, while Madrid works brilliantly on the ball in Mbappé on the left. The French floats a crossing with the doors of his right boot, which Rodrypass cannot miss.

Navarro, Costa and Asano are underway for Larin, Morlanes and Dardier for Mallorca.

Valverde rejects the opportunity to shoot from the edge of the surface, to launch Camavonga, whose blow on the ground is countered.

From the corner, the ball seeks to fall perfectly so that Larin puts himself with his weakest left foot, but tries to bring him back to his right and has disappeared.

Can Mallorca go back to this area? They have a corner and great goals to aim to . . .

Bellingham follows his purpose with a yellow card to protest after being misfired by a barge in the back.

Bellingham forces it over the line after Rodrygo heads off the post and Mbappé’s close-range effort is saved by Greif. It all came from a quick free kick, a darting run from Mbappé and a fine cross from Vinicius.

Bellingham is drilling!

Rüdiger almost puts himself at the end of this loose kick in the rear post, but a majority head distance from him in time.

Well, that was certain to happen as soon as I said it, wasn’t it? Maffeo chops down Vinicius and Madrid have a free kick in a dangerous position.

Say what you want in maffeo’s pranks, but helps keep Vinicius immediately from this game. The end of Madrid tries to go beyond its opponent, but ends up running the ball for a purpose.

Rüdiger shows why he is a centre-back and a left-footed hole as he tries to go past Rodriguez, putting in a Madrid attack.

Near Real Madrid! Bellingham tries to feed the ball for Mbappé and almost does it, but it is cut in a short time!

The game is now undergoing a delay.

As he suspected, Tchouammeni shot, replaced through Raúl Asencio.

Play has been stopped for a minute or two as Tchouaméni gets attention. He’s up on his feet but looking pretty groggy.

This seemed painful for the Frenchman, who first was with his jaw in Larin’s shoulder and crashed into the ground. I might not continue here.

No more main danger! Mojica has a handy cross in the back post, but it’s also before Rodriguez and luck is gone.

Bellingham whipped a cross for Mbappé in the Backsarray back position. . . but it’s horribly over-the-top and comes out with a purpose.

A rapid risk of Mallorca! Mojica, Larin and Muriqi are involved, falls in Rodríguez, who will stand out in the volley medium.

Real Madrid takes us back to class! We are going to obtain one or two goals here, right?

A big smile on the face of Thibaut Courtois when he returns at the moment in the middle. He looked at ease and deserved to be, he had nothing to do the first period.

A correct good starts from Real Madrid, who tested Dominik Greif in Mallorca’s purpose several times from the beginning. Did NotArray have to make some incredible saves?

Mallorca did not attacked much, but he probably had the most productive opportunities. The Canadian striker Cyle Larin, who headed largely without marking in the back post and lifted the ball ball from an intelligent position.

Interestingly, the two managers can be quite happy: Ancelotti with the way Madrid sometimes played and Mallorca with the way they finished part, time, much more comfortably than they started.

Therefore, we are no closer to knowing whether Real Madrid or Mallorca will face Barcelona last on Sunday. If today’s game ends the whole square, there will be no more time, the game goes straight to a penalty kick. It is a replacement for the rule compared to past seasons, in which another 30 minutes were played. This also applies to the latter.

And that’s it for the first half!  Mallorca will be pleased to have escaped an early attack unscathed and with the way the opening era ended.

A minute of playing.

Mojica is a lucky guy there! The Colombian deserves to cut Mbappé’s cross on the left, but misses completely, which catches Bellingham, who hides him, unprepared.

Two Madrid players, Mbappé and Vinicius, hit the bridge in the AS Tchouamméni deep cross. He doesn’t, says the referee.

Vinicius floats a cross from the left, but it is in the hands of Greif. It’s not her day, so far. But there is still time.

Bellingham shows that he is more than an attacking threat, he returns to Maffo – and Madrid stripped in attack. Excellent English.

The double Torres de Mallorca almost mixed with an effect. Muriqi disembarks a return through the purpose of Larin, who is beaten in the ball through Rüdiger, as aggressive.

A great movement from Madrid to the back to the right! Bellingham is going up to the end and takes the ball to Rodrygo, who shoots under Darders tension!

Bellingham fizzes the ball through the Mallorca defence for Mbappé, who can’t control it at an awkward height. If he had done, he would’ve been one-on-on with Greif.

But the wonderful opportunity for Rodrygo! The Brazilian dives well after a brilliant painting by Bellingham, but his shot is well countered. The ball returns to Camavonga, who left his shooting boots. Big.

Oh no. Mallorca is forced to change. The Central Defensor Antonio Rillo was injured, replaced through José Copete. Let’s see if you interrupt the defense of Mallorca, which hung before, but now adapts a little more.

Maffeo and Vinicius are back! Again, the Brazilian is penalized by a foul, but then it is collected in the air through its parties at war while standing. These two are friends and take us all, right?

Another good luck for Larin! Muriqi, then Rodriguez, the ball in the path of Larin, who has a transparent view of purpose and lifts the ball on the bar.

Camavong has a 30 -meter test. Maybe I have passed. Well above the bar.

Rüdiger is a like a dog with a bone when it comes to defending. The ball is played into the feet of Larin, who has the big German defender all over him like a rash. Madrid win the ball back and go back on the attack.

It seems that the multitude of Jeddah is very pro-Madrid, with many citizens who support whites. If you are a fan of Mallorca from Saudi Arabia while reading this, touch x (@English_as). I suspect that the maximum of those brave souls has reached the Middle East only for a game.

Just at the right time, Muriqi puts his head on a loose kick a few feet from the purpose at the back post, but I can’t locate a teammate as he makes his way to the box.

As he suspected, Muriqi turns out to be a useful external for Mallorca. Madrid will have to be careful with the room and the crossings in particular.

Credit to Jude Bellingham, who could easily have gone to ground under a challenge from Morlanes in the box but chooses to stay on his feet to get a shot away under pressure, which is blocked.

Is this Mbappé starting to look like the Mbappé we all know (and a little love)?

No penalty! That was brilliant from Mbappé, who shows quick feet and a turn of pace to get into the box in a split-second having picked it up on the left. He goes down in a heap in the area but there’s not enough contact for a penalty, says the referee.

Mallorca has not presented anything in the strange long. Until now! Dani Rodríguez moves away from Rüdiger and Larin in the middle. His cross looks better, but the Canadian nakes his head and the ball extends!

Vinicius vs Maffo Third part: the Brazilian unnecessarily cuts the defender of Mallorca from behind. Free kick.

Think that Thibaut Courtois still touched the ballarray.

Bellingham patiently hopes to have an area to shoot at the edge of the box. It seems to capture everything good, but almost Greif is updated, which returns to him in time.

Maffeo vs vinicius can be like seeing central comedy. The defender of Mallorca tilts gently against the boy in Madrid outside the ball, then walks down holding his face while the Brazilian kills him in the chest . . .

Real Madrid seem intelligent so far, it must be said.

He was about to say that Mallorca had turned out a bit of the storm, however, Rodrygo entered a harmful position there and Tchouammeni has just forced Greif to make a back distance.

Rodrygo got up here at the end of Brilliant Pass, this time from Tchouamméni, on the right. He tries to locate Mbappé in the closed position, but the Frenchman is exhausted.

The next episode of Vini vs Maffeo sees the winger make space for a cross into the box, but it’s comfortably held by Greif.

Egga through the crowd, Valverde attempts one of more than 30 meters, which is blocked. Probably also for Mallorca.

What a ball from Valverde! The Uruguayan drifts a brilliant pass over the top for Mbappé, who goes for the half-volley on the stretch but can’t keep it down! It was just a bit too far ahead of him, to be fair.

The pro-real crowd of Madrid Know Maffo opposite to Vinicius will be a key battle. Huge cheers, while the Brazilian deprives the back of possession, but he provides a failure, which leads to mass hatreds.

Just as I say that, Mallorca get their first decent spell of possession, which should help them settle into the game.

Mallorca are struggling to have any meaningful possession so far. It’s been all Real Madrid.

A Real Madrid onslaught so far! Rodrygo twists and turns and fires a powerful shot that Greif beats away from danger!

The first effort for the purpose before the two -minute brand! Again, the Mbappé area triggered the left. His relief is too Bellingham’s front, but Vázquez de Anclaje falls, of which Greif broke the low danger shot through Greif.

Real Madrid were the first to threaten when Mbappé ran down the left. Valjent holds it and Raillo takes care of the cross heading towards Bellingham.

And away we go! Mallorca get the ball rolling, launching it long towards Muriqi. Probably not for the last time…

Real Madrid and Mallorca have already met this season, playing out a 1-1 draw at Son Moix in August 2024. Rodrygo gave Los Blancos the lead in the first half before Vedat Muriqi equalised just after halftime. Ferland Mendy was sent off right at the end of the game.

That should give the underdogs some hope of causing an upset.

The “wish throw” rings around King Abdullah’s training ground, while Real Madrid and Mallorca are waiting in the tunnel, waiting to make their entrances. Do the DJs in the stadium know that they are allowed to play other songs at football matches? And it is not “Army of Seven Nations”.

Greif; Maffeo, Valjent, Rillo, Mojica; Rodríguez, Mascarell, Dardeur; LARIN, Muriqi.

Coach Jagoba Arrasate will be hoping Pablo Maffeo can ruffle Vinicius Jr’s feathers once again. Canadian striker Cyle Larin, once of Orlando City, leads the line.

Courtois; Vázquez, Tchouaméni, Rüdiger, Mendy; Valverde, Camavinga; Rodrygo, Bellingham, Vinícius; Mbappé.

Mendy gets the nod over Camavinga at left-back, and Camavinga over Ceballos in midfield. The latter is the only change to the team that defeated Valencia way from home last Friday.

10 minutes to go to the start! Here’s a reminder of how the groups will line up in Jeddah.

Real Madrid Supercup Registration

Real Madrid has been one of the two dominants of the Spanish Super Cup over the years. You will never guess what other Isarray . .

Los Blancos have won the competition on 13 occasions, most recent last season, when they destroyed Barcelona 4-1 in the final, with Vinicius Jr scoring a hat-trick (Barça, however, get the last laugh, with 14 victories).

As I mentioned a little earlier on, Mallorca have lifted the trophy just once before, in 1998, when they defeated Barcelona 3-1 in a two-legged final. Will they get the chance to do so again on Sunday?

January 3: Pontevedra 3-0 Mallorca

21 December: Getafe 0-1 Mallorca

December 14: Mallorca 2-1 Girona

December 6: Celta Vigo 2-0 Mallorca

December 3: Mallorca 1-5 Barcelona

Mallorca is going well in LaLiga, lately in the sixth position at the table after 19 games. And there are five problems of the real society of the seventh position of society, which has a game in hand, of course. For the context, the most productive end of the islanders is 3rd; There are 8 Barcelona numbers, third as it is.

But its recent form is not great. They have lost 3 of their last five games, which include a 3-0 cup disappointed in the third Pontevedra point.

January 6: Deportivo Minera 0-5 Real Madrid

January 3: Valencia 1-2 Real Madrid

Dec 22: Real Madrid 4-2 Sevilla

December 18: Real Madrid 3-0 Pachuca

December 14: Rayo Vallecano 3-3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid fell in form after an unequal spell, according to its own main standards. Between the end of October and the beginning of December, the whites lost 4 games of seven, which included a 4-0 debate in the house through Barcelona, a 3-1 defeat in the house opposed to AC Milan, and outside the doors the opposite defeats Liverpool and Club Athletic.

However, things have returned well, winning their last 4 consecutive games in all competitions, which understood the latest in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup. This led to two problems for Atlético Madrid in the most sensible of LaLiga, their city rivals have an adjustment in hand.

Real Madrid made their big arrival at King Abdullah Sport City in Jeddah. Will they return for the last thing on Sunday? They expect it and probably hope to be too.

Barcelona is waiting, can a consecutive moment of the classic Ultimate Spanish Super Cup have a moment?

Unlike Real Madrid, Mallorca did not win anything last season. But they did not have to enter the Spanish Super Cup. As mentioned, the finalists of LaLiga and Copa del Rey are also eligible, and they fell into the latter category.

The athletics club has just made a manifesto in the Copa del Rey, winning a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw, although the result was not the scheduling of the Spanish Super Cup in 2025sarray, the two finalists qualified thanks to Madrid and Barca completing first and moment in LaLiga last season.

Unless you were absolutely out of football last season, which I bet you did not do it, you know that Real Madrid did it quite well. They lifted the Champions League Cup/European Cup for the 15th time and also won LaLiga, which is like they reserved their price ticket to the Spanish Super Cup of 2025.

Since 2020, the Spanish Super Cup has been played in Saudi Arabia and has had 4 participants: the name LaLiga Champions League, the LaLiga finalists, the Copa del Rey holders and the Copa del Rey finalists.

Did you know that the double NBA MVP Steve Nash is a fan of Mallorca? Yes, really. And just that, he is one of the club’s owners.

“The club has experienced great growth since we arrived and obviously being in LaLiga and doing well is the most important thing. Off the field we’ve taken important steps too in terms of infrastructure and with the modernisation of the stadium, which are essential for the future,” Nash told AS’ David Alonso earlier this week.

Here is the full interview with Nash, who believes that he is now in much more football than basketball.

For the sake of impartiality, this is how the Mallorca wardrobe is hunting towards the opposite adjustment to Real Madrid. There an intelligent concept to carry 3 pairs of boots, in the event that two may not be enough.

This is how Mallorca will align Real Madrid:

Greif; MAFFO, VALJENT, RILLA, MOJICA; Rodríguez, Mascarell, Dardder; LARIN, Muriqi.

The major things to watch: Pablo Maffeo will check out to ruffle Vinicius Jr’s feathers, whilst Canadian striker Cyle Larin, once from Orlando City, leads the line.

The fact that the tournament is played in Saudi Arabia means that it would have been poor for Real Madrid to catch up with former striker Karim Benzema, now playing for the appearance of the Saudi League to Ittihad. Just the 354 goals in 648 games, five champions, five champions. Leagues, 4 LaLiga titles and a Benz Ballon d’Or with whites.

The Spanish Super Cup, a last two -legged player played at the beginning of the season and referred to two teams: LaLiga’s reigning champions and the winners of the Copa del Rey last season. In 2018, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) won the game away from home for a final.

They then realised that they can win a lot more cash by inviting 4 groups to take part in the middle of the season, expanding the chances that Real Madrid and Barcelona, the main Spanish spinners, would be involved. And with Saudi Arabia probably content to throw cash at anything sport-related in those days, the RFEF may not fail to line up their pockets. Most of the enthusiasts in the house in Spain impressed, and they shouldn’t be.

Here is the whole story.

Here is the mandatory video video prior to the Real Madrid match. If you observe enough, you will see the captain of Lucas Vázquez’s team opposite to Mallorca.

In case you’re wondering what on earth Vinicius Jr’s name is doing on the Real Madrid team sheet after he was sent off for slapping the Valencia goalkeeper in his team’s last game, then I’m betting you’re not alone. There did look to be a chance that the Brazilian winger wouldn’t be available for the Spanish Super Cup, although Madrid were confident he would (typical Madrid).

Here are a little more about the reasons why Vini allowed us to play at the festival despite a red card last time.

There were no new injury issues for Carlo Ancelotti to contend with ahead of today’s game. That means defensive duo Dani Carvajal and Eder Militão are the only confirmed absentees.

Do not expect to see Carvajal or Militão so early that David praises education after December 2023 with a LCA injury. He was named for the opposite bank to Mallorca, but it is unlikely to have a game time.

Even through the same old standards, Real Madrid arrived incredibly early with its semifinal alignment of Super Cup Spanish!

Courteous; Vázquez, Tchouammeni, Rüdiger, Mendy; Valverde, Camavonga; Rodrygo, Bellingham Vinícius; Mbappé.

Mendy gets the head of the head in Camavonga in the left back and a partner in Ceballos in the center of the field. The latter is the replacement of the team that beat Valencia Way from his home last Friday.

Barcelona’s well-documented monetary disruptions have caused them a lot of embarrassment for a number of reasons, specifically through signing players for a lot of cash that they’re not sure they can log in to play. This was the case with striker Dani Olmo, who was able to sign during the first part of the season due to the lack of registration of the injured Andreas Christensen, but who was not signed first for the moment in 2024/25 (from January 1 since). However, Barca won a call heard on Wednesday, almost at the time of their win over Athletic, and on the recording of Olmo, and for their other attacker Pau Victor, meaning they are eligible to play in the best of the Super Cup Super Cup. on Sunday.

Here is the glorious Joe Brennan with the full story.

In case you missed the first semi-final, which was played between Athletic Club and Barcelona (Tuesday), don’t be afraid! My esteemed colleague William Allen was everywhere and you dive into intensity about how the action took position here.

The short version is that goals from Gavi and Lamine Yamal gave Hansi Flick’s team a well-deserved victory over Athletic, who had two late goals disallowed but didn’t quite put up as much of a fight as many had expected them to. And there’s more good news for the Catalans too…

The winners of the Real Madrid shock VS Mallorca will face Barcelona in the final of the Spanish Super Cup. The Fit will take a position on Sunday, January 12 at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, which houses the 3 fittes of this year’s competition.
