MADRID (AP) – Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane did a coronavirus test, Spanish club said Friday.
The announcement came two days after Zidane led the team in a 2–1 loss to Alcoyano, third in the Copa del Rey.
Assistant coach David Bettoni will coach Madrid at Alavés on Saturday.
“I spoke to (Zidane) this morning and it’s okay,” Bettoni said.
The club provided additional information about its status.
Two weeks ago, Zidane tested negative for the virus after being in contact with an inflamed person.
