Real Madrid reacts after Virgil Van Dijk is presented when a Liverpool defender makes a decision

Real Madrid have been given the chance to sign Liverpool central defender Virgil van Dijk, with a report in Spain claiming that agents of the Netherlands international have been in contact with the defending Spanish and European champions over a potential move in the summer of 2025.

Van Dijk is one of the most productive defenders in the global and key figure in the Liverpool team. The 33 -year -old injury disorders are now him, and he is one of the names of the leaf of equipment through Arne Slot. The central rear has made 25 appearances in all competitions so far in the season, scoring two goals and giving a decisive pass to those games, while Liverpool becomes strong in the Premier League, the Champions League and the Carabao Cup.

Despite Van Dijk’s brightness, Liverpool has connected to a new contract. In the existing state of things, the former Celtic star becomes a loose agent at the end of the season when her existing agreement with the Reds is exhausted.

Van Dijk can indicate a previous pre -contract with a club outside the doors of the Premier League from January 1, and a report in Spain said they had presented it to Real Madrid. And the Spanish giants responded by rejecting the option to take him to Santiago Bernabéu.

Van Dijk’s agents proposed a summer move to Madrid as a free agent. Carlo Ancelotti’s side rejected the chance because they are not looking for a player of the Dutchman’s profile. Relevo has noted that Madrid have Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao and David Alaba and are confident that the latter two will get back to their best when they are fully fit.

Real Madrid, which is transparent on two themes in the most sensible of the league table, can also count on Raul Asencio. The 21 years is a highly classified Spanish Spanish and established as a component of the team of the first team of Carlo Ancelotti this season.

Relayo reported that after Madrid rejected it, Van Dijk will indicate a new contract with Liverpool and is now about to put a pen on paper and make it bigger that remains in Anfield.

Van Dijk is one of three major Liverpool players who are out of contract at the end of the season. While the Anfield faithful will be worried about losing Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah on a free transfer next summer, there is a very good chance that Van Dijk will stay.

Back in November, our transfer insider Fraser Fletcher revealed that an extension for the 33-year-old at Anfield was ‘closer than many people realise’. And while their first attempts to nail him down to a new deal had been refused, there is not yet any panic that an agreement will be reached.

It is a repeated speculation through Roman Fabrizio, who since then has said that Liverpool is that they can convince Van Dijk to indicate a new agreement. Thanking the Italian journalist, the Premier League club is pressing for an agreement and is in conversations with the Dutchman.

Roman Ed at the end of December: “Also allow me to say what Liverpool thinks because Mo speaks several times in public, but Liverpool responds.

“That’s Liverpool’s position in public, of course, because the arne slot at every press convention doesn’t need to mention anything about contracts. This is surely anything we have to respect.

“But the scenes, Liverpool insist that they are negotiating with the 3 players: Van Dijk, Salah and Alexander-Arnold.

“They are absolutely pushing with all of them and especially with Van Dijk and Salah Liverpool maintain their confidence to find a way, to find an agreement.”

Van Dijk is not the only Liverpool player who has been connected to Madrid.   Trent Alexander-Arnold has also been the subject of intense speculation. The Spanish giants have already had an offer for the rejected defender and may make a moment of attempt to secure their facilities in the January movement window.

Madrid is so interested in taking Alexander-Arnold to Santiago Bernabéu that they told him to reject all those who Liverpool give and enrolled for a loose movement in the summer of 2025, as well as Kylian Mbappe last summer. The French foreign striker moved to Madrid as a loose agent after having reduced his contract in Paris Saint-Germain.

While Madrid needs Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool plans a raid in the Spanish club. A report in Spain said the Premier League club in a position to make an offer for Aurelien Tchouameni. Liverpool’s manager, Arne Slot sees him as a signature of an ideal midfielder. Manchester City also remains in Tchouameni.

There is some other Premier League player that Madrid has its eyes on.   Dean Huijsen inspired for Bournemouth this season, and Madrid would have made him shine.
