REAL MADRID would have Vinicius Jr as soon as Kylian Mbappé joins the club.
According to some rumours, the French striker has already accepted the terms of his trip to the Spanish capital.
Mbappe is on the verge of finalising a flexible move for the summer with foreign clubs after entering the final six months of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Real Madrid have been fans for a long time and tried to sign the World Cup winner last summer.
According to Sport, they are now in a position to get rid of Vinicius Jr. to make room for Mbappe in their squad.
The report claims the Brazilian winger will be sold immediately if Mbappe joins.
President Florentino Perez does not believe the 23-year-old has the profile to be the club’s key man.
Instead, he would prefer Mbappe, next season’s Real Madrid star, the report adds.
The news is a boost for Premier League clubs, as Manchester United have recently been linked with a potential transfer of Vinicius.
However, he has previously suggested he would only leave the Bernabeu to return to former club Flamengo.
In an interview with France Football and L’Equipe last year, he said: “I think maybe I’ll stay here for the rest of my career, but the club of my life is Flamengo.
“I promised my father that one day I would die again. I have to keep that promise. “
Vinicius left Flamengo at the age of 18 to sign for Real Madrid for around £40 million in 2018.
He has since scored 69 goals and provided 68 assists in 243 appearances for the Spanish giants.
Brazil also got the winner of the 2022 Champions League final, one of the ten trophies they won in Spain.
Despite hamstring and thigh injuries this season, he has already scored ten goals in all competitions and signed a new contract in October until 2027.
