Zinedine Zidane would be interested in signing the central defender in the future
However, the club is not making plans to spend much on the summer move-in window and may not pay its $41 million release clause until next year.
However, the Whites may face a fight to get the defender next summer, and several more sensitive European clubs are likely to be interested in the talented young man.
Upamecano has secured his long career at RB Leipzig this summer by extending his contract with the Champions League semi-finalists until 2023.
